Holland: The Difference?

Holland doesn't get pushed back on rushing plays so the RB doesn't have to make his first cut to get out of his way.

Ability was never a question on Holland ----desire was.....

Holland has looked good for us in the past so you must attribute some of it to his ability. Plus he's my been my pet cat since we traded the fifth round pick for him to Denver. Hope he can stay healthy and keep up the good work.

A little of both I'm sure. Holland played a very good game but Fi made a huge difference too. I doubt Jones would have had the same total yards but I bet he'd of had a big day today too with the same blocking.

Fi????

holland has always played well. he just kept getting injured.

That's because he was never in shape.

He looked a lot better out there today. Looked in shape.

Hopefully he's taken his release as a wake up call and is ready to play the rest of the year. We need him.

He looked very good on his blocks today. Only one struggling was Free, looked like. Was Nagy our achilles in the running game? Or was it just the Rams, dude?

I will say I kept an eye on Holland during the game and was impressed by his play. We will just have to wait and see if he builds off this. If he can give us the push up front then I think backs like Felix and Murray can take advantage of it

I agree man, I've been a fan of Holland since day one.

I think it's a combination of many factors.

Nagy was drastically undersized, and could not hold up strength wise against NFL defensive tackles.

Holland most definitely can, it's just a matter of staying in shape with him, and moving his feet. He played well today against a poor Rams defense though.

I will be excited to see if his play can continue.

Also FB - Tony F was a big plus, in the games he played our running attack has some teeth.:D

The sad part with Holland is that whenever he is in the lineup he plays well. He just can't stay healthy.

I think this is the first game he started that he played all the way through in his four years with us.

It's not even desire, directly.

He gets hurt everytime we put him out there. Now whether that is due to poor conditioning which is indirectly related to lack of motivation is another issue.

I actually think ability-wise he has been our best OG since he arrived here. He usually plays well. He is a great shield blocker and has good balance and footwork.

Fiammetta isn't getting enough credit for today. He was outstanding on several lead blocks.

I'm watching him being interviewed on TV right now and he looks like he's lost a lot of weight, his face looks much thinner, hopefully he's in better shape and can stay on the field for the rest of the year and perform at a high level.

Boy, next week is big, already nervous!
