Opening comments

“First of all, I just want to thank God and Mr. [Jerry] Jones and [Bill] Parcells and the Cowboys organization for drafting me, for giving me this opportunity just to enter into the league. For Mr. Jones for gracefully letting me go out into the market and really choose where I could finish my career. I really want to thank him for that. I really want to wish my former teammates and coaches and just the Cowboys good luck on their season.

On the last 24 hours after being released from the only franchise he’s known

“It’s been pretty difficult. But you sort of think about just in general all the things that you go through, where you start your career at. You’ve got to be ready for change, because that’s what this league is about. It’s about change. It’s ‘Not For Long,’ right? NFL. So now I’ve got an opportunity sort of for a rebirth.

On whether it was “a circus” to play for the Cowboys

“I think you can never say anything is a circus. In this league there are a lot of changes and things going on. They’re a great organization and I was proud to be part of that organization.”

Now the reality is, he probably was upset at the idea of being released. Nobody likes being fired. But the NFL is a business and all players at some point are going to be pissed when their future is hanging in the balance.

I believe Holley and it sounds like he got his info from Jason Hatcher. Ware is good friends with Ratliff so I bet Ware was ready to leave when all the guys he came in with were starting to leave.

Who knows, Ware's such a great guy that I doubt he'd say how he really feels. If he really were unhappy with Jerry, he wouldn't say so, I'd think.

Honestly, good for Ware choosing the Broncos. He chose a contender, Colorado's a nice state, and we're not going to play Denver til 2017 (yeah, unless we make the Super Bowl, hahaha). I wish him nothing but the best, whether or not he's angry with Jerry. Heck, everyone's angry with Jerry at this point.

I admit I haven't listened yet, but how much contact does Holley have with current players? Anybody know?

I think if you see any negatives from Ware it will be much later and completely accidental. Ware has never been cautious with his words and a lot of times you can decipher his feelings because of it even though he's attempting to be cordial or PR safe. I think right now, he's trying really hard NOT to say the wrong things.

I don't think he resents the organization, but I bet he's a little annoyed or perturbed.

I imagine a lot. I hear him on 105.3 a lot and he doesn't name guys but it seems evident he still is friends with some of the guys. In a few years once everyone else has moved on, I doubt he keeps the connections though.

Maybe I'm dense but it seems to me that players hanging out and hearing this stuff is reasonable to me. I think they get more information than say a reporter who is getting sound bytes. Ware is classy. He's never going to say anything. These guys have egos so there are going to be things that rile them up.

Seriously? I find the guy at the local QuikyMart more informative and credible than Jesi Holley.

So a guy that played in the league with your favorite team very recently isn't credible? C'mon man.

Ware doesn't impress me as the type to bad mouth anyone in public. So what his true emotions are, or were at l;leaving Dallas will never be known by the fans.

Jessie Holley may have thrown back the curtain on that. But you won't see Ware articulating something he made have said in private in an interview.

Maybe years from now, Ware will be in a one on one with a journalist and make the astounding revelation he was angry at being let go.

I bet that will be as strong as it gets for him.
