Holley vs Johnson vs Hurd

I like Shipley not because he was a Longhorn he is an outstanding WR with good speed, very good hands and the ability to return punts and kicks. Add to that he is a very heads up and smart player

He's def an upgrade in the slot and in PR, but he cant return Kicks nearly as well.

Explain more ?

Going to the same college does not make 2 different players the same. They are individual players not college made carbon copies

Agreed, one (Jordan Shipley) is actually good and seems to be hard working, the other (Roy Williams) sucks

This. Are there not teams out there with 6?

I was not sure so I was checking the depth cart on teams and thus far Tampa was the only one showing 6 WR most including Dallas kept 5.

Well, they aren't showing up on the depth chart on their website, but I do believe the Titans have Mark Jones and Paul Williams on their main roster as well, which would mean seven wide receivers. Don't know if this is 100% accurate though.

And Tampa has six, but hasn't been that consistent throughout the year, didn't have Crabtree at the beginning of the year and then later in the season they went a couple of months without Spurlock, before they resigned him.

Why most teams do carry 5 WR

Simple........

If you find a player at another position that is better than Hurd/Johnson/Holley you keep him.

I'd rather have a good-great 4th TE, CB, another OL, OLB, ILB.......etc, etc.

Than a mediocre 5th WR.

You can keep those on the PS.

Hurd for the simple fact that he is a core special teams guy.

IMO, Hurd's a good enough special teams player to stick around. It's not a matter of who should be 5th, it's who can do better than Hurd in kick/punt coverage?

Holley bad-mouthed Dirk and said he didn't have it like Lebron and co on the radio the other day

so he can take his practice squad *** and **** off somewhere else.

So hate on him b/c he told the truth.
