Wimbo;1572360 said:Oh, please... If the team can't handle 200 people singing, then how are they supposed to "focus" when 50,000 beer soaked fans are yelling at them?
This is not an issue.
You can't be serious...Fernando Fernandez;1572683 said:200 people!!!!
Its not about the players handling the singing, it's about respecting those around you.
Wow! Imagine if 200 people started singing Tejano, Rap, Country, Rock, Opera or Yodeling!
I don't think they would let those other people get away with it. Just because it was Gospel singing should not give them a free pass.
No activities of this this type should be tolerated...What's next? The Yodeling convention belting out a few tirra lirra loos during practice?

You jerk, now I have that song in my head.

I suspect that he sees this as opportunity to see how his team reacts with distractions.

Do you really think that if the crowd in SAN ANTONIO started singing Tejano music that you would be offended?
Why does singing mean a sign of disrespect to you?

I went to the last training camp in S.A. and unless you're in VIP, you can't hear any of the dialogue between players and coaches.Fernando Fernandez;1573107 said:because I am there to watch my favorite football team practice and I like to LISTEN to the action on the field...the coaches barking instructions, players calling out signals, etc.
Aw hell, it's back.StanleySpadowski;1572715 said:If I had to do the same again, I would my friend...
I can't tell for sure if you're being serious or not... but what does it matter? If you got up and started singing a rap song that was talking how cool it is to beat your wife, I wouldn't "share" that viewpoint either. Lots of speech isn't agreeable to everyone. Who cares? Part of freedom of speech is having to let other people express viewpoints you don't agree with.GimmeTheBall!;1572764 said:Gospel, too, is a specific genre of music based in a specific religion that not all of us share. Hope you understand
Well I'm sorry, if there are no rules preventing it, then there's nothing you can really do about it. I'm sure people were thinking that the E-gals fans who showed up were being rude and inconsiderate too, but did we kick 'em out?Fernando Fernandez;1573107 said:because I am there to watch my favorite football team practice and I like to LISTEN to the action on the field...the coaches barking instructions, players calling out signals, etc.
In case some of you are thinking that I am pickin on the type of music being sung, I am not.
250 people singing ANY TYPE OF SONGS and chanting and clapping while practice is in progress is rude and inconsiderate of those around them who enjoy LISTENING to sounds on the field.........
If I was singing, trust me, you'd be offended.Vintage;1573114 said:Its not so much that as being subjected to boring, lame *** gospel music.
I wouldn't be offended. I'd be annoyed.

But it's not against the law to offend people.
