Well, how else would you explain it? That because one set of fans is pulling for a team with a bird on its helmet, they cheer louder? I think it has more to do with the region than the team.

It more likely has to do with the fan base. Cowboys are far and away one of the most popular teams in the nation that means that at any game you will have stands filled with people who are less than diehard fans ... tons of corporations comping tickets to visiting VIPs etc. Tons of casual fans. That's the hot ticket in town -- Dallas' other sports teams aren't even 2nd fiddle

You go somewhere like Seattle and the Mariners are the more popular team. Those fans in that stadium are dyed in the wool Seahawks fans who are willing to sit through crap weather to see their team.
