Homeless ex-Cowboy reportedly is man victimized in shocking brawl

http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...s-chris-brymer-defending-self-in-video-022716

The video has been making the rounds on the Internet for a few days.

Sadly, the apparent homeless man is being picked on by some dude ... for no apparent reason.

However, this homeless person wasn't the guy to be messed with.

According to reports out of Victorville, Calif., the person who knocks the dude flat on his butt is Chris Brymer.

That would be the same Chris Brymer who played football at USC and had stints with the Dallas Cowboys and the XFL's Los Angeles Extreme.

Brymer is apparently well known around Victorville.

His backstory is simply tragic. Once a successful businessman, now homeless and likley suffering from effects of head trauma and CTE...

Lol!

Maybe his problems are so severe he dies! Think of the pain that would cause his family! Hilarious!!!

At least we can still laugh at Brymer.
Lots of people never realize how real other peoples problems are. The actual things that they do may seem idiotic, but a large part of the time there is a real psychological issue that they deal with that a lot or regular people deal with, that has become more severe for them. Its why I don't "laugh" at Manziel and his antics, or just blindly call Randy Gregory a "moron". You don't know what they are dealing with.

Exactly. Joseph Randle very likely has some severe issues going on. As does Brymer. These aren't characters in a story.

No sympathy for people like him from me.

I have no sympathy for anyone that brings problems on themselves. It's those that don't that I have sympathy for. The real problem is most people's issues stem from their own actions. Like all of yours for instance. :muttley:

Dude's probably mentally ill, spouted some racist nonsense, and these low-IQ ding dongs took it as an opportunity to effect some brutal power over someone in their sad lives. Terrible all around. Sad. Heartbreaking.

Does it say something about a racist comment being made by Brymer somewhere? I am curious why you would interject that into the conversation.

Edit: I read the backstory and your comment makes much more sense now.

That's exactly why I don't care. He's not a good person and this isn't a case of mental illness or that bs.

It's an assumption on my part. Mentally ill people are disproportionately victimized but a lot of it comes from the things they do and say to people who don't understand they have a disease. It's possible this is a group of dudes that just like to roll up and beat down homeless. More likely, I think, these are people that don't know one another and a series of events and comments happened to lead to a dust-up. I'm making my own story up, but I bet I'm closer to the truth than not.

I have a hard time believing that the three guys surrounding Brymer in the video don't know each other, but your guess it as good as mine.

It's interesting that in the back story he is accused of racial slurs, though they all say it's out of character for him (including blacks he knows) and you just proposed a similar event in this instance... It's just an interesting component of our times and the divisiveness of race relations--which we obviously won't get into here.
