I don't get into debates often about who is better. After all, the players play different positions and have different responsibilites. I've been consistent in saying that Newman is my guy though. I think he's the best young corner in the league. And I think Roy is one of the most dominant defenders in the league too.

I like Tnew but lets not get carried away. NO ONE can shutdown Moss one on one, Dallas fans should know that better then anyone, since he has lit the Cowboys up more then any other team in the NFL.

I disagree with you, on Tnew being the best secondary player we have. I along with you and everyone else have seen him look just like Henry did today. I can and will admit it, but you and others will not.

He is good but not great yet, but when he gets there I will definitely give him his due, and He did a good job today as he has the first 2 games.
I guess I'm the only one that sees WRs catching passes on Tnew, and I guess I'm the only one that sees him behind at times, and I guess I;'m the only one that sees receiver catching passes on him and he is right there but never makes a play on the ball.

Oh, on that 89 yarder, Tnew did not come from way across the field, he came up from right behind Lloyd, who caught the ball on the other side of the field and angled over to the side of the field Tnew was already on. Tnew has speed, he has make up speed and he can tackle, and he gets beat.

Yes, I would like to see him returning punts instead of Crayton, all I want Crayton doing is catching passes.

I don't think anyone said TNew was a HOFer, but if some are going to gush over Henry's play in the first 2 games, then by all means give Tnew his props. Of course he will give up a catch, what DB doesn't? Tnew IMO has never been in a position to make plays, because of our defensive personnel. He was pretty much always manned up without help. If he gambles the last couple of years, its TD for sure. He now has help with Henry (who I think will bounce back) and will take more chances on the ball. Your right LLoyd did come back to his side of the field, but for Tnew to be the closest defender, is still amazing. So in response, he can tackle, he can run, and he is far from being the worst Db in the NFL that some make him out to be. He too is better than Henry, IMO.

No no no, he is no where near the worse DB in the league. I never meant to convey that. I believe he is very good, but I know that he can and will get better, I just like more aggression from him.

He is fast, he needs to return punts. But right now in my mind he is now better than Henry, faster yes. Technique no.

I'm not saying you in particular that says he sucks. What I'm saying is that Tnew couldn't in the past take chances. He can now and teams can't find his man open. Thats a sign of a good secondary when the QB has to go through his progressions and very few times find Tnews man. I started this thread because there were others always complaining about him not making plays. He had an INt last week and was directly involved in both Ints today.

TNew had a very solid game. He did miss a tackle or 2, but he was awesome out there in coverage. Through 3 games I am very happy with his play.
