I appreciate what Troy did for tha Cowboys but he is the most dull and boring commentator I've seen in a while and Joe Buck gives me the creeps!

I thinkTroy is caught between a rock and a hard place.
I think he is told to be neutral on his opinions of the teams that are playing, so he goes overboard aginst The Boys, so as not to let anyone think he is still a Cowboy.

I couldn't believe that he actually said that Portis was his favorite player in the NFL....
Yeah, that made me want to :puke:

You don't see Theismann saying Tony Romo is his favorite player

Personally.... I love when Joe Buck raises his voice for each Cowboys score...

Troy is such an idiot. When the Skins make a good play he is talking about the good plays individuals make. When the Cowboys make a good play he is talking about the mistakes of the Skins D.

It was funny on the 4 TD's by TO he was not so talkative :lmao2:

There was a moment where he sounded so ridiculous. I think it was when the Skins scored last. Troy said, if the Cowboys hadnt scored those last two td's the Skins would have a good lead now.

What???!!

yeah but they did score, so the Cowboys lead.

He said it as if the Boys had scored on some weird fluke like returning a blocked punt or something. They scored by blocking and running and passing and catching. Its called football. I mean he could have easily said "if the Skins hadnt just scored the Cowboys would have a bigger lead"

or lets try this Troy - "if you shut out the other team youre gonna win every time." Or how about this one troy - "if you outscore your opponent in every game youll be undefeated."

He tries too hard

Aikman is not in Madden's class as a color commentator

The Buck-Aikman team seems to have fewer replays and more crap than the other Fox teams. Today's segment on the Gobbler was particularly annoying.

If true, then he shouldn't do Cowboys games. Sometimes he gets awfully quiet when the Cowboys make a great play as opposed to the rest of the time when he can't stop talking. It just comes across as unprofessional to me. If it's that hard to call a game involving your former team, then don't call it. Problem is Troy and Buck are the #1 crew on Fox, which does NFC games. And the Cowboys are the #1 NFC (and NFL) draw. So I guess Troy isn't going anywhere. I hope we make it to the NFC Championship game. I just don't look forward to Troy and Buck calling the game, regardless of who and where we play.

I would bet money that if people went to another teams board, they would probably find a thread or some posts about how Troy or Buck was on Romo's jock.

As an ex-Cowboy, he probably feels pressure to send valentines to Dallas opponents. No biggie.

I think we need to understand that Campbell got props because his bar is extremely low. Romo had a 4 TD night and the announcers said nary a word about it. I like that, it means we have a Pro-Bowl QB and they have a pop warner QB who had a good game.

Good angle on the game. Yeah, Aikman and Buck were all over Campbell, who did have a good game. Romo was better though, and he deserves some props.

Likely they will. With the kickoff time changed, Fox is going to make it a national broadcast. That means their #1 announcing team. That means round 2 of the Joe and Troy announcing a Dallas/Washington game.

I was disgusted with Aikman. I loved him with all my heart and soul as a player but god.............we know you're trying to be impartial Troy..........try a little harder man. Seems like the foreskins could do no wrong. Wish he just would not do Cowboys games. He tries so hard to be impartial it's just very uncomfortable to watch........as for Buck......he's a no talent clown.

You are right, Aikman is worlds better than 'mustard on my tie' Madden.

I don't know what it is, but I can't stand listening to those guys do Cowboys games either. We often lose with them as announcers, or at least don't play well.

It's just during the game they seem to downplay the good (yeah I'm biased because of the Boys sure) and praise the other team/underdog. They probably do this to keep the game "interesting" or at least seem to be competitive.

Today, they kept praising the Commanders etc. In one sense it is funny. I mean Romo has what 18 starts. It's not exactly so many more than Campbell. It shows what the expectations are. Heck wasn't Campbell a 2nd round pick or better. Romo was undrafted!

I just find them annoying, particularly when calling Cowboys games. Win or lose they take away from my enjoyment of this team somehow. I know Troy doesn't want to be a Homer and I love him. His articles about the Boy's and comments that he believes the Boys are best NFC not withstanding, I don't like him calling the Boys games plain and simple.

Those 2 are a jinx somehow.

I love Aikman, but he was REALLY trying not to give off the impression he was a Cowboys homer today.
