At this point I think it makes a lot more sense to go after Mike Singletary, Ron Rivera,

Amen. These are the two I hope he zeroes in on. Make it hap'n Jerrah!

Houston Nutt, coach of Arkansas...

Do you really believe he has a chance?

I have read the name, but just cannot get serious about it.

I believe it will be Norv Turner. :star:

I might be ok with Singletary. I heard on the radio that Pitt is going to keep LeBeau even though Tomlin is a 4-3 guy. I see another Zimmer situation in the making...

While I think Meyer is a good coach, I think we should steer clear of coaches without any NFL experience. I would look in the recent passed where an offence or defense was extremely dominate. Rex Ryan is a possibility. I hate his father Buddy, but they are great defensive minded coaches.

I would go for Rex Ryan and if I could get Don Henning as the OC. Though I have this feeling in my gut that Henning will be the next HC.

I would hope whoever the new coach is gets rid of the entire remaining staff and starts fresh.....but we are talking about Jerry :(

LOL

I just posted about him.

I have been fighting a buddy of mine (Giants fan) for a week about him, slated to become the Giants QB coach, we could out bid them with an OC or HC position. His brother is or was an OC...He went to Princetown so my Giants buddy thinks he'll stay in the NY area.

Great minds think alike.

Could Urban Meyer be the new millenium's Jimmy Johnson?

He is staying on the Dolphins staff with Cam Cameron. I read it this morning. Of course a job upgrade might entice him to change.

A chance to work with Romo or Culpepper...hmmm.

I don't get what people see in Urban to think his offense could translate into the NFL.

I mean I love Coach Rogriquez at WVU, he is young, has fire, has played the game and has won about everywhere he has went, is an innovator and all the good stuff.

But no way would I think his offense would work in the NFL.

At this point, I think Jerry simply isn't enough of a risk taker to go with a young guy. And when I say young guy, I include Urban Meyer, Mike Singletary, Rex Ryan, Jason Garret, etc.

Unless something drastic changes, Bum Jr. or Norv seem to be right on the nose.

Oh, lordy......if that happens.....well, at least a change was made.

I'll tell ya, Gil Haskell is another guy who I think has talent as an offensive coach. He's the OC for Seattle. He was with the Rams in the early 80s and into the early 90s. Was with the Packers in the early to late 90s and then with Carolina 92-97. Been with Seattle since I believe. He's been on a lot of teams who had a lot of success offensively. He's an interesting guy to me.

How about this guy? Has been successful everywhere he's gone (NCSU - Philip Rivers, USC- Matt Leinart, T Titans - V Young) ... and would satisfy the minority interview criteria as well.

He has a great offensive mind no doubt, but he is way too mellow. I've heard he is very quiet, and laid back.

I dont want that kind of coach to replace Parcells

He isn't on the practice field. I speak from experience there. I don't see Norm as a legit HC though.

The Legend.
The picked on, he was not the death of the Cowboys, he was there for the fall but he was neither Nero nor Ceasar, I think he was a decent coach but not a great coach.

Not from what I saw at TC a few years back in Austin...

The guy can rant and throw down f-bombs with the best of them...

That being said, I want us to go in another direction...
