Hey Hos,

You have been there for me when I needed it. Offering advice and words of encouragment even though we have never really met. I'm sorry I don't have some magical words that could make all the pain go away if even for a minute. If i could bear your grief if even for a minute so that you could have that one moment of solitude I would.

I'm here as a friend, a son, a Cowboys fan and a brother if you need me.

Well.

My respect for that guy named Hostile has gone up yet another notch. It's funny. I had already come to the personal conclusion that notch was so darn high, it couldn't be pushed any higher. Surprise, surprise. I learn something new about myself every day.

I know how it feels to lose a father. It's been nearly ten years, but many days it still feels like it was just yesterday. I wish that we had the opportunity to share some of the events which occurred during the last decade, like sitting together in the SuperDome watching our town's high school win multiple state football championships. Or watching him, a lifelong New Orleans fan, fill with pride after seeing his beloved Saints finally reach the NFC championship game. Just thinking about it... I can see in my mind's eye... his eyes sparkle, giving me a little wink and saying, "It's about time, boy. It's about time."

Hostile.

You honor us by honoring your father.

Always cherish what you had with him. Those feelings will stay with you for a lifetime. They'll always strengthen you and more importantly, keep you strong. God bless you and your family.
 
sorry to hear about your dad hos...

my wife lost her dad to cancer may 22nd...i thought i was going to lose my wife for awhile.

she was so stressed over taking care of him for a year and a half watching her dad go out like that.

two months later she loses her sister to a sudden massive heart attack.

been pretty rough around here.

again...i'm sorry for your loss.

Sounds like there's a pretty rich history and some memorable moments with your dad and for that you are blessed.

Again, sorry for your loss. I can't help but wonder if Pacman's life would have taken a turn for the better had he had a strong father who cared for and looked out for him.

My Condolences too Hos. That was excellent tribute and story. Wow, I guess you heard a lot of stories then. Amazing to hear though.
