What happened to your brother?

Yeah, Hos is right. My Brother was killed when a woman turned in front of him into a church parking lot. He was engaged to be married this Saturday.

I lost my father when I was 12. You were truly blessed to have him in your
life for so long.

What a nice tribute to your Dad. I know the pain of losing a father. My dad was only 60 when he died. I too was estranged somewhat from my dad due to a divorce and him being an alcoholic as long as I can remember.
None of those things matter tho. The love for a parent is always there. Remember the good times to lighten your heart. Give everything else to God.

My prayers goes out to you and your entire family. I don't post much however, I'm on here daily and you are one of a selected group that I enjoy reading your post. I lost both of my parents at an early age (father before birth and mother at 16) so I know what life is like for you at this point and time. Please believe in your faith, your family, and most of all in yourself and I assure you day by day life will continue. It will not be easy but you will make it through. The biggest thing I can share with you is to celebrate the times you shared with you father and to look in the mirror and see the reflection of the man that your father mold while he shared the time with you. Again my thoughts and prayers, like so many of the Zone family are with you.

My Dad was cremated yesterday and some time next week my brother David and I will be taking his ashes up in an airplane and spreading them over the airport where they flew their "missions." Just so you know, whenever I called him on the phone I said, "hello you old outlaw." That was how he knew it was me. That is why I ended the show by saying goodbye to an old outlaw.

You almost got through your tribute without choking up, my old friend... I'm glad you couldn't quite hold it together... hell, I choked up a little at that point, too...

You done the old outlaw proud with that tribute...

If I had not written it out and read it, I would have been an incomprehensible mess. I still can't listen to that file and get through it when I say "goodbye you old outlaw." I doubt I ever will be able to because that is how I said hi to him every time I called. It was our joke.

Your obvious love for that old outlaw warms us all... all you need to do to get through this is cling to that love with all you've got...
