I know we all love Hostile for one reason of another and we also know he's tougher than leather as is the case with most former Fullbacks.

If you were listening to my show last night you heard another side of Hos.

Yeah, most of us are rough and tough men who never shed a tear and eat nails for breakfast, but we must admit there are times when we could use a kind word to help us get thru some tough moments due to a death in the family.

Please listen and then write a few words in here for Hos who we all know and love as part of the CowboysZone family.

Hostile's Tribute To His Father

Sorry to hear about your loss. Our thoughts are with you during this tough time..

Hos, my prayers go out to you and your family. I lost my father 12 years ago. Yes, there is a father/daughter bond too. Stay strong.

Hos -

My sincere condolences, my friend. Your father died a good death and there is much to be grateful there.

I envy you for having a dad who cared for you, helped you learn how to play sports and taught you things. Mine left home when I was 14 months old and I never met him until I was 35 so I missed all that. I had to teach myself everything through trial and error and always coming from behind.

You must treasure those memories now more than ever. Hang onto them. When I was younger I thought I could not survive if my mother ever died but I buried her back in 1972 when I was 33 and I have survived because for a reason I don't understand, her death did not hurt me nearly as much as I feared it would. Maybe because by then I was quite independent.

Good luck to you and may this experience somehow strengthen you.

Hos, I give you my condolences. My Dad has been a Cowboys fan his entire life (born in '55) and raised me to be a Cowboys fan. My parents split when I was young, so even though I was rooting for the boys during Super Bowl 27 and 28, I was unable to see it with him. But I got to see Super Bowl 30 with him. I hope I can see another Super Bowl win with him.

A father and son's bond is a very special thing, and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I can't begin to imagine what it feels like to lose a parent. I lost my brother(19 yrs old) a few months back and it still doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I have a hot/cold relationship with my Father and at times I can't be around him because he gets under my skin, but I can't bare the thought of getting "That Call" some day.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm sorry for your loss and nothing anybody says can take that hurt away. You just have to take comfort in knowing that at time like this, you have a support system here at CZ, and a lot of people that, while it seems kinda weird because 99% of us will never meet face to face, really do care about your well being as well as everyone on this board.

Take care and God Bless, Hoser.

I believe he died in a motorcycle accident.

My father was also not perfect but a providor to my family. 30 years woke up daily and went to work and instilled work ethic. He passed away 10 years ago heart attack at 59 and I pass along my regards for your loss.

My only reconciliation issue here is what your father did to you at age 8. That post you made here forever scarred me so to speak on many levels that I won't expand on.

I hope all was reconciled and you are at peace with your dad.

Jon
