"....The Texans play the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington this upcoming season. That will be a bigger game in the battle for the state than the franchise’s inaugural game. There was no chance the Texans could overtake the Cowboys back then. But now … they have the best and most popular quarterback in the state leading the way."

Well, play winning post season football and they are 100% correct. I've already seen the amount of casual fans leaning that way now. They have a future. We're a proven commodity who keeps repeating. There's no mystery in Dallas. We are what we are unless and until our FO makes changes in their approach.

It appears they certainly have a much better QB. Dakstans might pop a vein in their heads after this matchup. I bet CJ doesn't do that ridiculous warmup dance thing either, or whatever it is.

The folks here at the Zone who dislike the Cowboys have talked about becoming Texans fans many times.

Texans aren’t even a real franchise yet. They’ll need to do a lot more to do anything other than attract some bandwagoners.

They have Patrick Mahomes II. Wouldn’t be shocked if they at least sell more jerseys soon.

Someone get #11 on another podcast so we don’t lose the kids to Houston!

Regardless of my doubts about the Cowboys, the Texans aren't in the same stratosphere. Winning a game next season will barely move the needle because the Texans still blow

They definitely have a very talented QB. Let's see what the kid can do in year two. The Texans have hope, whether it is nurtured properly, developed and allowed to become something great, we will see.

The OP is right. Stroud is the next superstar QB, and it's going to cost Jerry plenty of fans in this state.

Of course, the Cowboys will still be ahead on the Forbes list, which is what really matters to Jerry.

From just a football perspective, sure. One team has a young, innovative coach and a stud young QB. The Texans have a brighter outlook for sure while the Cowboys continue to feed us the same recycled product year after year.
