naw, he's resigned to knowing he's an idiot and it will never happen.
Don't agree, he's like the compulsive gambler who believes in his system, and that surely, SURELY, the NEXT hand will be "the one" that makes him rich. And that person probably really knows deep down inside it may never happen, but he just can't help himself.

Jerry's the same way, which is why he still won't step down as the gm.

It appears they certainly have a much better QB. Dakstans might pop a vein in their heads after this matchup. I bet CJ doesn't do that ridiculous warmup dance thing either, or whatever it is.
Sure chief.

sure I am aware of all that, but I am not talking about the whole americas team bit.
It would be Texas popularity with the fans in Texas.
I was using the America's Team as an analogy, showing that it takes more than a few good years to build a reputation, or a name for yourself.

I am fully aware we are talking about Texans fans...

Right. Get back to us when the Texans have won five Super Bowls. Even winning one just draws temporary attention. They would have to establish themselves as a dynasty to take the shine off Dallas.
22 straight seasons no conference championship games. They remain well behind the Dallas Cowboys.

"....The Texans play the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington this upcoming season. That will be a bigger game in the battle for the state than the franchise’s inaugural game. There was no chance the Texans could overtake the Cowboys back then. But now … they have the best and most popular quarterback in the state leading the way."
Dallas Cowboys have not existed since 1995. The Arlington Jonesboys are nothing to replace under Jerry Dumbo GM Jones.

They passed us this year by a mile and their QB and coach are better than ours by a mile.
They didn’t wilt like pansies in the playoffs either.

All we got to look forward to is our past. Must be nice to have some hope for the future.

The OP is right. Stroud is the next superstar QB, and it's going to cost Jerry plenty of fans in this state.

Of course, the Cowboys will still be ahead on the Forbes list, which is what really matters to Jerry.
If your a true Cowboys fan, you will never be a Texans fan......Never, ever.

Well, their arrow is certainly pointed up and folks like teams with arrows pointed up.

Plenty of people aren't "true" fans like that, though.

And most of all, think of all the young kids who don't have a history with the Cowboys and will gravitate to the team with the better future and QB.
