Sure it did. Had they won they'd be outside the top 10.
Yup.

We were the last game this week— there wasn’t a way to ‘improve’ our draft position, but we definitely could have hurt it by winning.

Luckily we narrowly avoided that

The Cowboys had the 9th pick before this game tonight. After losing tonight they still have the 9th pick.
It looks good that we will move up. A lot of the teams ahead of us play each other as the season goes along.

The worst thing we could have done was win this game. That could have knocked us out of the top 10 and the loss leaves us still in the running for the 1.

1 would be real nice.

Think of the possibilities!

Some of the teams above us play each other. If we don't win anymore games there is a chance for Top 5-6..

Two of the games they won were very narrow wins. NY game was actually very close-the Gmen just could not buy a TD. Pittsburgh won the turnover battle 3-1 (not including a blocked punt) and still lost (though with Justin Fields at QB). They could very easily be 1-9 currently.

But it didn't improve it either. Thank goodness. Useless wins are what got us the last few drafts. We pick at the bottom of the draft, lose early in the playoffs and are stuck with #4. We need to bottom out.

Doesn't make what I said wrong.

Typically when teams lose they move up in the draft. You know that.
They didn't move up because the draft order was adjusted after the Sunday games before the Cowboys had a chance to play. If this game was played yesterday then you'd see that movement up the draft order right after the loss.

Before all the games this week were played the Cowboys were I believe around the 11th or 12th pick. And now they are 9th. The loss this week improved the pick.

Jags still have to play Titans twice and Raiders. Jets and NE play this week. Hopefully Giants and Panthers can squeak out wins against us.... still a long season to go.

That‘s depressing they didn’t move up. But there are still a lot of games left to get into the top 5. I will never cheer for them to lose a game, I just don’t have any realistic hope they will win another one this year…maybe the Gmen and Panthers,
AFC south still have to beat up on each other......
