How are the Cowboys going to stop RB David Wilson?

I know we're used to seeing Eli sling it against us, but With Cruz and Nicks not at 100%, I really think we'll see a heavy dose of RB David Wilson.

Coughlin knows how explosive the Cowboys can be on offense especially with the revamped OL and how vulnerable we are on the DL, so I believe he'll try more of a ball-controlled offense for the Giants.

So, how would you stop NYG's running attack? Nick Hayden, Landon Cohen and Caesar Rayford don't exactly exude confidence!

I think we're going to have to hope to win the turnover battle and simply pass more effectively than they do. If we can go score for score with them and win the turnover battle then it's likely we'll win. If we allow them to run and pass all the way down the field our defense is going to become winded and I like our chances a lot less.

How are the giants gonna stop us? They are weak at linebacker, safety, and corner.

Plus I missed the memo where David Wilson is Adrian Peterson.

We win 34 -17

Julius Jones could be at RB and he would probably find success against our journeymen defensive linemen. I just think it's going to be our Achilles heel for the season.

We're not going to stop David Wilson. We're just going to have to outscore them which we can probably do.

With Dez, Miles, and Jason.

It's about the linebackers holding up in the running game, it's about scoring points on offense and getting turnovers on defense. It's about stopping the deep ball and forcing them to do dink and dunk. Even if they run the ball well, they will give up on the run if they're down 14 points.

Yeah that's the part I foresee. Although I believe this is where we see just what we got in Marinelli. I think he has the guys circle the wagon and the thinness of the DL becomes a relative non-issue this game.

We didn't have Spencer and Ratliff all preseason and the first team D was excellent

There has to be a difference when you're going up against a divisional opponent like NYG who's familiar with your schemes and personnel, compared to a preseason opponent where there's essentially no game-planning at all.

Sure but that works both ways. I'm not saying we're going to pitch a shutout vs the Giants but they will hardly be unstoppable

I'm more worried about between the tackles power runners than a guy like Wilson who wants to bounce things outside.

This will be an issue all year as we try to overcome "a real strength of the team".

Yea your correct probably shouldn't even watch the game but i am gonna and root for these guys all day long. Just as long as we tackle well as a team and not whiff and bounce off we shall be fine.
