How Are Your Draft Day Pet Cats doing?

I'm simply pointing out that it is not as laughable as you wanted to make it out to be.

Felix is the better talent, but if he can't stay on the field and Ray Rice can, he's going to have the better career.

He had a nice year last yr, but Felix Jones was on pace for a really good yr too before getting hurt.

This year, Chris Johnson has done very little save one game. The other 4 games he's been basically invisible to average. He scored all 3 of his tds and had almost all of his pass receptions on the season in one game (vs a bad Houston defense) and did nothing vs Pittsburgh or Indy, the two best teams he faced.

He's third in the league in rushing and averaging 6.0 per carry. He put up 97 against the Jets and 83 against the Jags on only 16 carries. Johnson is a pretty good RB.

Once Felix stays healthy for awhile, this debate will end. Just like the "we should have taken Merriman over Ware!!!!" junk we had to put up with for a yr or two.

If he stays healthy for awhile. If it was only once, I'd chalk up as an aberration, but its starting to become a trend.

Again, its just too early to say. He might be healthy the entire rest of his career. Some players overcome some injuries to start their career and go on to become big time players (guys like Irvin and Norton, as noted before). Felix Jones is unquestionably a special talent, his numbers even in a reduced amount of games are just sick.

Then again he may always be what he's been so far. An explosive guy for a few games hwere and there, but always on the injury report. We just dont know yet.

Mike Thomas from the University of Arizona was my serious man crush in my mock drafts. I wanted him for our PR guy and to take over for Crayton as the 3rd WR.

Jacksonville has used him in a number of ways.

6 carries for 45 yards. 7 catches for 69 yards. 7 kickoff returns for 167 yards. 6 punt returns for 37 yards and 1 fair catch.

None of these are world shattering stats, but they show the versatility I was talking about and I think he will break a few.

According to Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham, fourth-round rookie DT Sammie Lee Hill had emerged as a "force" before suffering an ankle injury a couple of weeks ago.
"He was starting to come around and be close to what we expected as a rookie, and losing that size and that strength really hurt us," said Cunningham. Hill has yet to practice this week, putting his status for Sunday's game against the Packers in doubt.

Correct. His production has not all come in one game. The guy gets the fewest carries of all of the top 20 rushers out there, yet he is 2nd or 3rd in rushing. And I've heard at least two people people here say Felix is "clearly more talented" than CJ...I would say that is lunacy....at best they are close in talent with the upper hand going either way.

I'm pulling big time for Felix, so I do hope he catches up to CJ. They are both early in the ir careers and will grow, improve, and hopefully have long periods of good health. CJ for now takes too many carries for loses for my taste...similar to how Barry Sanders was. He'll find the nbalnce between looking for the big gain (which he must do with his skillset) and just taking a 1 yard gain.
