How bad is this Defense?

It looks worse then it did at the end of last year without 1/2 the starters. The Offence was bad to but my god this D just got destroyed and how many points will Denver put up?

I dunno if it's coverage or pass rush, but it needs to get fixed. He just had too much time to throw the ball.

The difference today was there was almost no pass rush. A QB as good as Rivers is going to look great when he gets all day to throw. The coverage was bad, too, but the best friend of a secondary is a quarterback under duress.

Seemed to me Rivers was letting the ball go quickly, exposing our soft zone defense

Well, we were 20th in defensive passer rating coming into the game. Today's performance was historically bad, and will no doubt drop us down to 25th or worse.

So this is the 4th consecutive season we've ranked 25th or worse in passer rating, after being the only team to do it 3 straight years from 2010-2012.

They've been horrible quite frankly. I don't know if it's because they're paying too much attention to the run or what (they did that in the Giant game) but something has to change.

Ordinarily, I'd prefer the line backers not be running down field alone with anyone. This scheme, SMH. When it works it works, but when it doesn't, yuck!!

this is it and i bet this is the template to attack this defense,good QBs will just dink and dunk all over us and we cant stop them.

Only because your PFF stats say so. You offense has been the problem since 2008.
