He may end up being a heck of a player for us but my gosh did we not need a guard with our first pick.

We are more then fine with what we have.

The Texas corner should’ve been our pick or some other defensive player.

I hate to Monday morning QB this thing but that pick is looking bad & has nothing to do with the player but the position he plays.

Nothing else to add.

As always great drafting and spending prime draft resources at the right positions.

GO JONESES!!!!

It should have been Derrick Harmon. Dude is Muhammad Wilkerson incarnate

Been saying this since draft day. Booker is a solid G but you don't need to pick a G that high in the draft. Hell, our best G's have been converted OTs. Booker does not play a difference making position.

I mean the defense would still be bad….

The way Williams was trapped constantly sure could have used Booker today .

We dont really have alot of building blocks though. Over last few years we have brought in a few picks that we hope work out, but haven't yet. And a guy that looked promising, but cant stay healthy
I thought we did honestly. I really thought we had some nice building blocks in Bland and Diggs and then some youth in Kneeland and Williams. I was flat out wrong.

What a terrible way to look at the draft.

"How bad was not drafting for need?"

Terrible. Especially after a game where your interior OL was thoroughly dominated in Booker’s absence.

I've been saying this since the draft. We had needs at DT and RB and we went with OG, probably our deepest position. Booker could be really good but he is not going to be that much better than other guards we have or could have gotten in the next two rounds.

I really feelthat the Cowboys are terrible at assessing their own talent which is why they wwent for Booker. Did they not see the DT position and think, wow, we got lucky this years draft is loaded with them. I thought they might draft two, which they did in the 7th round. But I was kind of thinking one in the first and another in the 3rd or something like that. Derrick Harmons had a sack for the Steeler today.

You could see our running game is suffering without him moving bodies and we are more than one player away on defense.

He may turn out great however, he was the safe pick. What the FO knew was that there was no way they could have 3 first round busts in a row. Clearly Mazi is, Guyton looking like it. I agree there were definitely other players where the draft capital could have been better spent, Booker was the FO saving themselves from themself. Clearly that is not how rosters should be built.

We had 1 bad week.

Maybe I’m over reacting but there were some defensive guys that we could desperately use right now.

The offense is still off the charts without Booker.
