Funny what a break through big play will do for your karma ugh?

I wish he got that 3rd sack but it was for a 1 yard gain. At the end of the game, they had the back doubling him and Demarcus in single coverage :laugh2:

Man I'm so happy for Spencer, that was a monkey to carry despite all the other things he does so well.

Ellis who?

Even tho the Raiders lost and Ellis couldnt finish the game......I heard he was happy......because he got the start :)

His motor has been fantastic. He never stops working and I am actually more impressed with his coverage and tackles down field from behind players as he hustles back into the play, big time!

IMHO he has been the best defensive player on field for the Cowboys the last 4 games, FOR SURE.

He is hitting the QB, getting his hands up, pushing guys back, and making EXCELLENT tackle after excellent tackle.

Motor is non-stop. He looks like a 1st round pick that is playing like a 1st round pick. It took awhile, but this guy is a player, AND HE's SHOWING THERE WAS STILL AN UPSIDE.

This is a key development for this team.

I posted last week that I was real happy for Spencer because I was hopeful that game-ending interception might have signaled that things would start going his way. After the productive, but unfortunate, season he'd been having, he deserved it.

I like what he's doing. He's not a pure pass rusher per se, but he is becoming someone teams must truly game plan to stop. Somehow, he's always getting near the quarterback.

He is breaking out at the perfect time

Ok, maybe nitpicking, but I have pet peeve with this, "My Boy" thing? Unless you are close personal friend, whats with that use of the phrase? If you are cowboys fan, aren't all Cowboys players your boys? :D

It just sounds too much like favoring one player to detrimental to another player. Anyway, Spencer finally got the payoff. Too many times he has been close and even a sack stolen away from him. Happy for him and happy for Cowboys since, once you get one, seems like others come in bunches. Just in time for December too.

Ellis didn't get hurt, did he? I thought he was just hiding behind the bench so another guy could get on the field.

Spencer is coming into his own folks... I'm excited about the possibilities!

Was just about to post that same thing and he is doing it at the right time.

Wade really deserves credit for Spencer's development, IMO. He was a Wade draft pick and Wade undoubtedly is the one working with him.

I'll freely admit I was certain we'd whiffed on this pick. Glad to be wrong.

Why? He was never that bad and had always got high praise from the coaching staff.

I'm not sure if he has been the best defensive player but he's been one of the if not the most consistent player this year. He was making bunch of plays even after getting held several times.

I had never been that impressed with him when he got on the field prior to this season. He always seemed like a JAG out there.

I'd say from about week 3 and on this season I've been really, really impressed.

Spencer is a slightly more athletic Jared Allen

he gets by on hustle and power more than speed

I fully understand. It's more tongue in cheek but the reason I said it is because I made a thread in the offseason that said he wasn't a bust and most people said he'd been a bust and didn't deserve to start. All through the season, if you view my post history (I don't expect you to ofcourse ;)), I've been defending his play and saying he's been getting to the QB even when people kept quoting the no sacks stat.

My boys are just the guys I defend. Roy Williams is another one. Junior Siavii (see avatar) is another one as people were saying he wasn't capable before the season started.

Geesus Bob, stop drinking. One minute you want Butler in, next minute you're eating crow and then next second he's a more athletic Jared Allen?
