How 'bout we wait for Hardy to show and prove (before)

before annointing him as the greatest offseason acquisition and most dangerous pass-rusher in Dallas. He should easily be an upgrade over the current lot and likely (hopefully) will be a force to be reckoned with. But I think it's necessary for all to expect him to show and prove first- especially given his circumstances. Not to mention he's only be great for 2 seasons- we're not talking Demarcus Ware, here... or even Trent Cole, as of yet. Would hate to see another Marcellus Wiley-ish let down. I don't think that'll be the case, but I'm waiting to see it before I get all rah-rah about the guy. At this point, he needs this team as much as this team needs his potential (if not more).

No.

That's not how it works around here.

FYI you wasted your time with this thread. In a day or so, this will get pushed down, people will forget, and continue to anoint him however they please. It's the internet. Nobody who has already anointed him will actually listen to you.

Not sure why the OP is catching heat. We have a thread asking who one would keep after this season between Hardy and Dez and it seems most are picking Hardy. And yet people think the OP is pointing out the obvious when he says that we shouldn't be anointing this guy?

I have great hopes for Hardy, but I do find it puzzling that he's already leapfrogged Dez in a lot of people's minds in terms of his value to this team.

Yeah, that made me LOL too.

How about you get as excited as you wanna be?

He will be more Lawrence Taylor than I-get-taken-out-plays-easily-Demarcus Ware.

Thank goodness!

I find this ironic coming from a guy whose signature is Darren McFadden... :)

Rub it on Mo Claiborne... see what happens?

This is rich coming from a guy with Darren McFadden in his signature.

You have fun waiting. I've seen him play. I know the player.

He has been forgiven because of his epic "try rubbing the anointing oil on Mo Claiborne" comment though..

Well, this thread does create a lull in all the AP posts, as he wad the real appointed one to get us to the SB, when he's not available yet. LOL

Not anointing Hardy. But he does make this team, in theory, much better. That is just common sense based on past seasons and history.
A fan can get excited over this and expect him to make a difference, but in reality they know [well most should know] it still waits to be seen.

It's better than a 1st round draft pick, as we know what Hardy is capable of. A first round draft pick, people do the same, think he's the player but no one knows what he can truly do until he is seen on the field.

When Deion was signed, did anyone think he would suck?
When Haley was signed did anyone think he would suck?

Just a few comparisons. Oh yes, we won SB's with them.

I apologize for being excited about adding a probowl pass rusher to fill our most glaring need.. my bad.

A guy who has 15 sacks in a season comes to town and you are stunned that people expect that to happen again?
