How can Dak not be the league MVP?

I think it's crazy that Garrett doesn't run Zeke in the 2nd and 3rd quarter much.....that being said when Zeke is out Dak still has moved the ball.

Not only that we seen what other QBs does behind this OL and many of you said Mcfadden was a great RB.....and he was a 1,000 yard rusher......and was 4th in rushing yards last year.....etc. If it was the running back then why Cassel, Weeden, Romo and Moore only win 4 games.

Zeke is a beast no doubt but without Dak we aren't winning 11 straight and sitting at 12-2 right now.

Stop with the Romo could do the same thing because that's speculating. Romo was healthy last year to start the season and was terrible.

Dak is the MVP of this team and the leader no doubt. He even has guys like Williams and Butler making plays, not to mention Street looked like a reciever and not a waste of space. Witten (Romo best friend) is on the Dak train

You really think Dak is "middle of the pack" in passing stats like it said prior to editing?

Yes he's middle of the pack in passing yrds and passing TDs and lower than middle of the pack in explosive plays 20+ yrds. He's 3rd in QBR which very good but look how many passing TDs recent QB MVP's have had. Most are over 30 passing TD's.

He likely was never more than a 1000 to 1 shot to ever get even a single vote while Brady is alive...but with 5 games to go he was at 19 passing TDs and I thought he had a very tiny shot if he could go on a run and get to 30 and keep the same sparkling interception percentage. But 1 TD pass in 3 games killed it dead. The last 3 MVPs had 35, 38 and 55 TD passes. 20 with 2 (likely not even full) games to go. Time to get behind Zeke.
Dak scores TDs in other ways.......also makes plays besides scoring

So you are saying W's and putting your team in position to win by not making mistakes is not as important as passing plays of 20+ yards? I noticed you place more emphasis on the latter

Yes he's a rookie so I could see Rookie of the year candidate. QBs main function is to pass the ball Dak is middle of the pack in passing stats that's very good for a rookie but not MVP caliber. Honestly I hope he doesn't win any awards that way he will not get over confident and not improve in the off season. He needs to come back next year a better player.
I can see Zeke getting MVP and Dak getting ROY honestly. This is all assuming the typically slobbering over Brady doesn't happen.

But to casually dismiss what Dak has accomplished (as some nostalgialistas have done), to me that is pure comedy.

He's 3rd in QBR which very good

Dak is actually 2nd in QBR. It's very close between the top 3, then there's a bit of a drop-off.

1. Matt Ryan 81.8
2. Dak Prescott 81.4
3. Tom Brady 80.6
4. Aaron Rogers 75.4

Steve McNair's co-MVP season:

10-4 record (team went 2-0 without him)
24 passing TDs
3,215 passing yards
100.4 passer rating

4 rushing TDs
138 rushing yards

Dak Prescott's rookie season:

12-2 record
20 passing TDs
3,418 passing yards
103.2 passer rating

6 rushing TDs
238 rushing yards

Yep, no MVP voter would ever vote for someone with Dak's stats.

That's awesome that you know the mindset of every mvp voter of all time, I wish I had that type of insight.
It's even more of an awesome that I started watching football before this year (and paid attention too).

Wasn't this prior to the QB Renaissance?

You left out the year McNair won the award, mysteriously. I'm pretty sure Blake Bortles stats look roughly like Joe Namath's, let's give it to him.

That's the most insane thing I have ever heard. Scoring TDs isn't cared about or big plays he makes or leading the team to the best record in the league.......hmmm ya ok Cledus
They only care about TD passes, interceptions and yards, Jethro. He's not going to get a single vote.
