Where on earth has Bradford shown, when healthy, he is an NFL QB?

His performance has been mediocre at best, even during his rookie year which was his best year.

Considering the lack of talent at WR, RB and on the Oline in St. Louis, I thought he played about as good as you could expect. RG3/Cousins/McCoy may have a crappy o-line, but they still have had guys like Alfred Morris, Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson as play makers.

I am not comparing Bradford to Commanders QBs

Bradford (and I was a huge fan of his coming out) as sucked anytime he has played. His rookie year was his best year and that was meh in general.

I am just not seeing how you can say he looked like an NFL QB when healthy, when quite frankly he didn't.

We'll you would be wrong. In 2013, he had a higher YPA, Passer rating, completion percentage and TD/INT ratio. And in 2012, he set career highs in every category except completion % (60.0% as a rookie and 59.5% in year 3), but in both seasons he played 16 games and threw for more yards and more TDs, so how exactly was his rookie year his best?

2013 he played 7 games.

His 2012 numbers are slightly better then his rookie year numbers, but his compl% down.

Which makes the argument even stronger that he was better as a rookie. He barely improved in 2 years, and those career high numbers are mediocre.

They gave up a second, but can get as much as a third back. And again at this point RG# would not be better than anything in Buffalo because he doesn't know the playbook. Not realistic at all to expect a guy who has struggled learning an offense to change teams 2 weeks before the regular season and be able to contribute at all.

I'll take Griffin and two weeks over Ej Manuel.

Which was my point, when healthy he looked like a pro QB...

So you are actually arguing that even though his numbers were slightly better in 2012, that he was better as a rookie. That because he barely improved, that he was better as a rookie?

Personally, I think the results would be roughly the same. RG3 is better, but not in a system he has not had a chance to learn, with receivers he is not comfortable with. Main difference is if Manuel tears an ACL in week 15, he won't cost you $16 million

I don’t know, with that defense and jump balls to Sammy Watkins I think you could hide a lot of Griffins short comings, and Rexy has a lot of experience with that. How complex is it realistically going to be? He named the four QBs all captains tonight...

Now we just have to be FIRM and not accept anything less than a low 1st round/high 2nd round 2016 draft pick compensation in a trade.

We can't let ourselves get ****ed over again by accepting low trade value for players.

You don't do that. No no no. Not when you bet the farm on this PUNK.

Yeah, but nobody is going to give anything for that contract and the risk of being in the hook for $16 million next year.

And the only thing he is to Washington at this point is a distraction, a controversy and fodder for ESPN's tabloid shows.

I guess the skins woke up ! and they are starting the guy who they think is the best at this point.

Robert Griffin III's
surprise scratch from the lineup Saturday may have been a harbinger of things to come, as the team plans on keeping Kirk Cousins as the starting quarterback into the regular season, Washington head coach Jay Gruden announced on Monday.

Albert Breer of NFL Network confirmed an earlier report from ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini that Washington players had been told in a team meeting that Cousins will be the Week 1 starter. The job is likely his for the long-term too, according to Gruden.

"He's the best quarterback on our roster at this time," Gruden said. "He's earned the right to be our starter for 2015."

Russini and Adam Schefter also reported Sunday that high-ranking members of the Washington organization want to move on from Griffin, but are meeting resistance from ownership. Gruden denied reports that the team could look to trade Griffin on Monday, telling reporters that he is a player he likes who still has a place on the team's roster.

Griffin's contract could prevent Washington from dealing him away, because he has an injury guarantee of $16.1 million for 2016.
