How can you extend Dak at this point?

I don’t know how you could justify it at this point. Suddenly the acquisition of Lance is starting to make more sense, maybe the insider guys knew something about Dak. It’s clear this guy isn’t even a middle tier QB anymore there is no way you can pay him that kind of money and compete. There is no defense good enough, no receiver good enough to elevate Dak to that kind of pay and production.

Obviously no decision will be made off just this game, but if this is the type of performance we are going to get out of Dak when we play the top teams like the 49ers and Eagles then you absolutely cant extend him.

Those two games against Philly loom large now, Dak might very well be playing for his job.

Cooper did it once. Dak owes Cooper so much.

Definitely no extension. Not sure I have ever seen a QB fall off THIS fast. NO mobility anymore. Cant imagine that we used to call him a "mobile QB" at one time. 6 TD's per year rushing.

He looks like Aikman out there in his last few years. And what happened to his deep ball passing? Those moon balls he is hanging up there what the hell is that?

This is not a serious question. Even Jerry knows this or it would have been done.
The question becomes, when do you move on.

I absolutely don’t think we should extend him… but unfortunately I can easily see JJ talking himself into it.

He’ll wax folk-poetic and say something like “the midge in your hand is worth 4 hackles at the market” or some such nonsense and we’ll extend Dak and continue to suffer in franchise purgatory

Gotta wonder if some of the actual players behind the scenes are starting to tire of Dak. They have to see what most of us see.
Good point and I think last night was a solid example. Why go 110% and risk injury when you know there is zero chance that your QB can keep it competitive? Dak looks ok when the defense is dominating a bottom three team and he doesn't have to do anything, but we all knew the defense could not do that week in and week out.

Like Garrett he will hold on to long to prove to everyone he’s right. The Jones boys think they are football gods who continue to accomplish nothing but embarrassments year after year. As long as Jerry Jones is pulling the strings they will never sniff a Super Bowl let alone a frickin NFC championship game it’s all smoke and mirrors.

Yea I hear ya but he is scheduled to count 59 million next season. If we cut him the cap hit is 61 million. In 2025 the cap hit if he's cut is 36 million. Those are devastating numbers no matter how it's sliced up. One thing is for sure, it would be a massive mistake to extend or restructure at this point, just do what needs to be done and let's move past it all.
