You do realize that copying and pasting the same list over and over again in many different threads, doesn’t make it any more true, right?

That list is your opinion, not fact, and while a few of the criticisms are valid, a bunch of them are pure nonsense.
Wait until the season starts and he copies and pastes Dak will be benched on a weekly basis.

  • Born leader
  • Inspires those around him
  • Wants to be the best
  • All as just a two year vet
Please enjoy the video flashback. :starspin:

All Cowboy fans are rooting for Daks success. A bounce back year is critical for the teams success. We’re all looking for more of the Dak we saw in his Rookie season when he won over our hearts.

The Romo cry babies will run back under a rock very soon. For 24 games they were in hiding and licking their wounds. The entire team goes to pot and they jump for joy and crawl out of the woodwork. LOL

Time to pick another team for many of them. Dak will be tearing it up for years.

I believe the term is crawl under a rock. You can't really run under a rock unless it's suspended six feet off the ground, right?

I can respect that opinion. Although I don’t think it’s all cowboys fans. I honestly believe there are some fans on this board who are rooting against Dak at this point, because they need him to fail, to validate their opinions.

Yep a classic Dak-Dinker that went for long yards.
Sure he's happy it was a long time since he threw a TD at that point last year and it looks great on the stat sheet for 15 min of fame Dak!
You must have had a tough time in 2016.dak ll be fine

"I think I have to throw him a better ball," Prescott said, according to the Dallas Morning News. "Just put it right there on his face mask and don't give him a chance to drop it, I guess.”

That’s a guy you can count on when the chips are down.

Meh... this quote hardly qualifies as throwing shade at Dez— let alone “throwing him under the bus” lol

If this is the reason people aren’t supporting Dak— just smh

Dez led the league with 12 drops all the while demanding the ball, and dividing the WR room. I don’t blame Dak for being frustrated with his “vet leader” WR. He needed more from him— and not only did he not get production from Dez— he got untiemly drops, turnovers that lost games (Seattle), and a guy who pouted and acted selfishly on the sidelines.

Besides that— to focus only that one “negative” quote and ignore the majority of positive media quotes where Dak is supporting Dez positively is fall into confirmation bias— seeing only what you want to see despite the evidence

I think we root for him but he has a lot to prove.. He was sub 200 yards passing in 7 out of the last 9 games and just looked bad. Thats not going to cut in the NFL regardless of who your LT might be.

Anyone rooting against Dak are not Cowboy fans they are members wanting to be right in a trolling fashion.

I’ve been critical of Dak but never doubt I’m not rooting for him . His success translates into Cowboys success.

This notion to validate ones opinion is not a view I’m interested in and serves no purpose but in a forum.

I'm passionate about the team winning. I want the best player behind center for that to happen. If that turns out to be Dak, wonderful, if not, wonderful.
100% agree. I'm called a "Dak hater", but I'm really just a realist. After October, he did not play well at all last year.

There are just a ton of people on here, and in the Cowboys front office, who were/are overly anxious to anoint Dak as the next great Dallas QB. That is what irks me. Fabricating an agenda when there's no tangible proof that he's anything other than a game-managing QB whose success is predicated upon conditions being perfect.

I hope to God I'm proven wrong and I hope Dak lights it up this year. But what I fear, also, is that even if he does struggle again this year, they won't explore other QB options.

This season will determine exactly what we have in Dak.
That’s my worry, I’m not so sure it will. Will it show us he can succeed with an all pro O line and RB? Yup. He already proved that his first year.

Does that cover up any potential major flaws and 2-3 years down the road, after we sign him to a huge contract, the O line and RB are middle of the pack and the “real” Dak is what we saw half way through last season?

I fully expect him to have a better year than last but after last season I’m worried his potential weaknesses may get covered up and then we commit financially.

I hope you are right because I like the guy but still a little hesitant because Tim Tebow was the same way. This year will be big for him. Pulling for him.

One, no. All fans are NOT rooting for Dak.
And two, it amazes me how so many fans think that there's THAT much of a difference in Dak's 1st season vs his 2nd.

My worries exactly or even if he does light it up this year, what you said in the first paragraph applies “predicated on conditions being perfect”.

Agreed. At least when we gave Romo all that money, he was capable of covering up the rest of the team's flaws.

And to me, that's a trait that should be required of anybody you give $100+ million to.

With Dak, we've seen basically none of that. A winning record and good completion percentage doesn't automatically qualify him as a "great" QB.

I’m not interested in any “ Cowboy” fans not rooting for Dak.

It’s always difficult measuring anonymous members on a site if they're truly all Cowboy fans because some appear more focused in validating their opinions.

Personally I know many fans who have been critical in some aspects of Daks ability and performances but none of them are rooting against him.

Much like with Jerry or Garrett it’s one thing offering criticism but quite another rooting against their success to validate an opinion.

Like I’ve always said with Jerry from Day 1 we’ll only tolerate an owner like him if he wins which we’re all rooting for. His success translates to the Cowboys success. The same is true for anyone associated with Cowboys Football.

Valid points and why IMO based on what we’ve seen thus far I’d be more willing to offer Dak a contract similar to Bortyles in the neighborhood of 3 years 50 million & 15 million signing bonus.

LOL....The Star above all and yes that includes Dak being a GREAT SUCCESS never doubt that !!!
As Cowboy fans we have the right to express our opinion concerning everything about the team including DAK.
What some of us will not do is give a false portrayal of Dak just to keep you or whoever in these forums happy who simply see another non flawed Dak on the field...Sorry!
Go Boys and Glory for the STAR!!!!!

P.S. The Star was here before Dak (5 SB) and will be here after Dak dang..... i mean who the heck is Dak and what has he done since we started in 1960 to deserve all this acclaim ????
