I would certain prefer Romo over Sanchez, as so would everyone.

Thought about Romo with each big hit landed on Dak, and there were quite a few.
Here is the thing on Romo and hits, I think if he waits till 2017 to play again this last injury will be totally healed, and the other
injurys further healed, so he should be good to go, more so than now.

What gets me is his supporters/ romo die hards, want him to play now just 10 weeks after he cracked a bone in his spine !!
Do they really care about tony?
Spine injuries are serious and should be healed all the way before playing in nfl game again.
Tony will play, and he is kinda stupid in that area, he isnt protecting himself playing before being healed.
He did it in 2014 and got by with it, but really someone needs to save tony from himself.

And really having tony as bkup, is unusual, and fantastic, he is I guess under contract, so if jerry wants to keep
him another year he can cant he??

I suspect Romo is pretty healed.
But I am not orthopedic surgeon.

Jerry can keep him, but nobody wants a unhappy Romo, particularly Jerry
That is why I am looking at the stuff Jerry is saying.
We should all notice that what Jerry is saying is the right thing to say whether it is prenegotiation for trading or for convincing Romo to stay.

Here are my reasons Romo should not be traded:
1. you never want to complete your biggest competitors. I showed in a different thread that trading Romo to Denver may reduce our chance for winning the Super Bowl from say 37.5% to 25% - because you essentially assure your AFC champion has an even chance for beating the Cowboys (Patriots and Romo-equipped Broncos). I am assuming Denver finds a way to keep him healthy including putting him in bubble wrap in most of the season.
2. QB depth - look at Bridgewater - simple case

the other thing is if tony had come in, as soon as dak is determined ok to go back he will and tony will come out.
If dak does get concussed in a coming game, then tony will finish the game and maybe play the following week.
Then they go back to dak.

# 2 is what I am looklng at, you cant look at tony as a back up, he is a 2nd starter. So if Dak goes down we dont have to scramble
for a vet like cassel, or go with a guy like sanchez, we have Tony.

here is a scenario, what if we get to the SB, are ahead 10-7 in 1st qtr, and dak gets
a concussion or whatever, he cant finish the game, so how nice is it to have Tony to
then step in and finish the game ??
What is that worth ?
Some people want to trade Tony, but then we would be finishing the game with a sanchez,
or McCowan etc, and that isnt so nice is it?

dak is tough
a few of those hits were pretty bad

There was one particular hit that may have kept Romo on the turf again. It might have been the one where they were checking Dak's shoulder.
