How Confident Are We Without Lewis And Brown?

It’s about the pass rush nobody knows who the 49ers corners are. Joseph is a concern but AB has given up big plays all season. I don’t think it will be much of a drop off. Bland is an upgrade over Lewis.
I agree that AB has been average this year, but I think KJ will be a big drop off.

He reminds me of Gregory without the knack for big plays. He is going to be maddening to watch. Mark my words, lots of mistakes coming from that bonehead.

I like Bland and have no concern there. Quinn is tasked with trying to find ways to hide KJ. I bet he is one penalty per game minimum as a starter. Did anyone notice him tackling a punt returner before the ball arrived. Reminded me of Gregory tackling an OLineman in the playoffs last year against the 49ers giving them a key first down. Just dumb.

I've liked Bland since the preseason and he played well Sunday, but how much trust should we really have in him right now?

Joesph is not impressive at all to me and scares me more than Bland does.

Does anyone else see the CB position being a concern going forward? Hopefully these guys step up and give us great production, but that remains to be seen.
On deep balls I think Joseph will be no worse than Brown. It is the intermediate stuff that worries me with Joseph. Bland does not worry me as much.

Indeed, it's a concern, we have lost two starting CBs so far this season, but we have to role with what we have at this point, no certified CBs hanging out on the couch worthy of signing, if so, let's hear some names.

Adjustments will be the key to focus on, how Q adjusts this defense to accommodate Jospeh starting will be pivotal and how he mandates coverage assignments with this back seven in support.

We are fortunate to have depth at DB, meaning the depth at safety on this roster will go a long way in shoring up the loss of CBs and how Q adjusts this defense going forward now.

Won't see Wilson in the box as much as we have been accustomed to, those plays will be limited and marginalized now, at least until this defense is feeling more comfortable with adjusting to Browns loss.

CB instantly became the biggest area of concern for our team.

At least one needs added this week.

Bland is going to be on the hot seat. Joseph needs to get off the hot seat and prove he can play in this league.
While I agree, I want to hear who these potential adds are that can be beneficial to this roster.
Im not seeing anyone legitimate waiting for a phone call.
Not trying to be rude here, just would like to know who we are talking about that is available and not just pillow talk about adding somebody, someone.

Kind of funny when you consider the many calls throughout their career for them to be cut, particularly in the game threads.

If the consensus on here was Brown was absolute trash and was gonna give up the big play all game long anyways, dont see how we are considerably worse with KJ as our boundary corner going forward. just going off of what i been reading on here week in and week out. not my actual opinion

I mean, obviously losing two of your best corners is concerning. One thing that alleviates some of my concerns is our pass rush.
The corners don't have to be great when you rush the passer like we do.
