How desperate are you for a superbowl?

Yup!

Match for sure.

If Romo did an Elway... Then we pass at 7

Giants are a stone throw away from us at 4 (glad they lost in 2000) lol
Patriots too... Thanks to Carrol...

Yep. We better get a move on. Belicheck has already passed Landry for most playoff wins. I can see them getting another SB before Brady hangs it up.

Man oh man.

I still can't believe pats got this one.

I was going strong with:

Not caught cheating: 3-0 SBs

Caught cheating: 0-3 SBs

Seattle messed it up

I hope they never see another SB let alone win another.

You and cyberbob CAN'T just go with the OP...EVER!

The OP stated the "win" scenario as his end result for sacrifice.

All you did was "undo" his post.

Bet I agree with the OP at least half the time.

But if it makes you feel better.
Even if you say in some fantasy land that a move would guarantee a SB win, I would not throw away all my seasons until 2024 anyway.:D

I just want one more before the Iggles win their first. Then, I could care less how many that team wins.

Just give me one more.

Fair enough :)

It's almost 20 years though... So OP and his 8 years is good deal..... "If your father does, you make that deal sonny" lol

Not all that desperate for a Superbowl. I prefer building a team that can remain competitive for the long haul. It makes every season a lot more interesting, and you never know when you're going to hit it right. So much of who comes out of the playoffs is in the HFA and in how the matchups break down, anyway.

Ruining you cap and drafts for the next 5-8 years bringing in aging players isn't going to guarantee you a SB win so it would be ridiculous to do something like that. Denver went all out to improve their defense after their blowout loss to Seattle in the SB during the 2013 season and they didn't even get past the first round of the playoffs in 2014.

For a Super Bowl, I would be willing to surrender Corso into permanent servitute in some jungle nation.

(c'mon Corso, do it for the home team!)

You must really want a Super Bowl to give up one of the great minds of the century.

This will NEVER happen, purely for fun. Would you be able to mortgage the draft picks it would take for AP and Revis. Is winning a Super Bowl worth ruining our cap and drafts for the next 5-8 years to you. Again, this will never happen, but how desperate are you?

Being 26 and never witnessing the glory years(or having an understanding at the time they happened) if it meant winning the superbowl this year and sucking from say 2016-2024 I would do it.

Im pretty desperate. Not only for me, but no one deserves it more then Tony and Witten. Everything they've been through, how hard they've worked, it would bring tears to my eyes just to see them raising the trophy together.

I've always said a Super Bowl buys you 5 years without complaints. After that all bets are off.

I would definitely trade 5 years of missed playoffs for another Lombardi, but I wouldn't trade away future draft picks.

After all these years and, while living in NJ, watching sheli and the vagiants pull 2 SBs out of their mediocre butts....10 out of 10 on the desperation scale. Not to mention that Romo and Witten are now in their final years. I can't really put into words how badly I want a SB.

Very.

If a Jennie or some **** came to me and told me. We could win Next year, but the next 5 years we would be mediocre. I would do it.

It's been long enough when an organization like the pats has tied us for most SB appearances....it's time!

As for desperation...I have given years of my life away cheering and following this organization and that will continue. I just believe it's our time as fans to know we root for the best team in the nfl...it's been to long 20 freaking years...the jokes..all the players that have come and gone since then....I mean at least after 77 the cowboys were still a dominate team until the late 80s...at least there was SB talent that still played on Sunday but man oh man since 95...all the Quincy's hutchinsons, hensens, ham bricks, ...the list goes on and on...it's time Romo deserves it, Witten deserves it, JJ deserves it, and the fans deserve it. JG deserves the recognition of putting a TEAM together that plays together. This team is ready, we are ready, it's our year, it's our time, 2015 is our year to shine! Go Cowboys!

I'm probably in the minority here but I'd never mortgage the future for a Super Bowl win. Granted I've enjoyed 4 of their 5 Championships. (I was only 6 in '71) and it's been 20 years since we've won one, but I'd much rather be a perennial playoff team with the chance to win a string of Championships than to gamble it all on one and then have to start the rebuilding process again. We've suffered through that long enough and have finally learned from our mistakes.

My teams are Cowboys Spurs Red Sox in that order. I've seen multiple championships from each organization.

I also find that I really enjoy watching team building and player development and don't need the team to win to enjoy the franchise. I only get bent when I see regression. Wade Phillips and Dave Campo teams were hard to take.

Garrett in particular has been interesting to watch. I think he has maybe improved the most and become a very good coach.
