which one?
All 3 (at least the last 2) should be caught
Those ate not on Dak but they can all impact our perception of him and the outcome of the game
which one?
^^^^ ..this. Hoping also, that he will improve.Gallups better mentally than say a Jerry Jeudy that is a major locker room cancer.
Just have to have bit more patience with Gallup I believe, the season will progress.
..nope, the one where it hit him, right in the bucket. Bounced out.Is the one you're talking where defender had 2 hand fulls jersey and was pulling him back? Could be part of reason why
which one?
Same play, but the jersey tug didn't actually seem to affect his route...nope, the one where it hit him, right in the bucket. Bounced out.
Prescott. Throw the ball too hard, LMAO.... I was reminded of it, watching Sounds of the Sidelines.
I mean, Dak could not place that ball any better. It was so crucial in the game.
Sure hope, he picks things up.
Yeah I thought he could have elevated a lot more for that first one but that last one I think was the one where the defender tugged on his jersey and broke his stride. I remember on the replay they mentioned that it should have been PI.Sweet pass by dak (1st one) and alligator arms by gallup
Looks like he was afraida gettin hit.
If you think it didn't affect his route you've never had someone grab you by the jersey while you're trying to run. I guarantee you it affected his route. If for no other reason than it slowed him down and kept him from being able to just run under it.Same play, but the jersey tug didn't actually seem to affect his route.
That jersey tug should have been called ( atleast as hold) when they called incidental contact with Keenan Allen by Gilmore as PI . Such a Vegas controlled Ref group.SighSame play, but the jersey tug didn't actually seem to affect his route.
It bounced off his forearms. If the tug slowed him down, then the ball would have hit him in the back of the head. That was a very minor tug. Not even worthy of a flag, IMO.If you think it didn't affect his route you've never had someone grab you by the jersey while you're trying to run. I guarantee you it affected his route. That's not how it works when you're running 20 mph trying to track an object in the air. You try to adjust your speed so that you and the ball arrive at the same place at the same time. The tug disturbed Gallup's gait and thus his timing in tracking the ball. That's why the ball ends up at a weird place (on his arms) instead of in his hands. If he was able to maintain his stride his hands would likely have gone to the correct position to make the catch or he would have been able to slow down under control to make the catch. Knocking him off stride affected everything not just how fast he was running. It bounced off his forearms. If the tug slowed him down, then the ball would have hit him in the back of the head. Granted, I've only watched it a few times, but it didn't seem to change his momentum or turn him a bit. I don't see how it could have possibly hit him in the hands if he would have been running faster than he was when it hit his forearms. That's not how it works when you're running 20 mph trying to track an object in the air. I think Gallup just is what he is. A 50/50 guy who can catch the occasional slant or out. Only problem is he's not 6'4 and doesn't run a 4.3 like Moss.Gallup needs a little bench time. Tolbert should be getting some quality reps with CeeDee and Cooks on the field.
He was grabbed by the jersey allowing the defender to get in front of him. But it wasn’t called. He has 3 drops on the season on 32 targets. Gallup has always had above avg drop numbers and some amazing big plays. After as long as he’s been in the league that’s just who he is. His second year I believe it was he had 11 drops. He’s a guy that can make some really amazing catches but he’s also a guy that’s gonna have about a 10% drop rateA defender crossed in front of him and obscured his vision some by trying to knock down the pass. Gallup's reaction made it appear like he did not expect the ball to get to him cleanly or did not see that it did until it was too late. That's not an excuse, but I believe that was why he did not make the catch.
Some were. He had 2 official drops in the game and has 3 for the season. Ferguson has almost identical targets and 3 drops also. The big difference is a TE usually gets balls that are easier to catch. But he’s young and may improve in time. Gallup has always been a guy that’s gonna drop at around a 10% rate. He has been that long enough that it’s not likely to changeThey targeted Gallup 10 times I think. He caught 3. Not sure if any passes were uncatchable.
