indications are he was OK. Got a couple more games to find out if he can do the job. If so bye bye Free

He missed his man a couple times, in the first half. Nothing too terrible, especially considering the time he has spent not getting any playing time. I have rewatched all of it yet but the first quarter is what stood out to me.

He missed some backside cutoffs on the one hand but he also made some key blocks on the other. He avoided the idiotic error in pass protection which is a hallmark of his bad outings so overall I think you have to be happy with his first start in over a year. He will get better with more practice and reps like everyone else on the team seems to do.

Need to rewatch esp with the all-22 to really get a good gauge so sorry for so many generalizations.

He was ok. Though I wonder if some of the other troubles along the OL were because the Cowboys had to compensate for the loss of Free. Seemed to be a lot more heat on Romo than usual, even from the middle and away from Parnell. Were the Cowboys helping him out more than they do Free, which caused more match up difficulties elsewhere?

He looked OK to good the question is, is he at his ceiling. He should get a little better with more time and the rib/chest injury healing. This game was nothing glaring next week will be test for him with a 3-4 def that can cause a little confusion for a inexperienced OT/OG grouping on the right side.
