Allow me to go on a small rant, please. It's a happy rant, and I don't do it very often.

Nothing wrong with getting to know the competition. And by that I mean spying on their message board. I've been posting on the 49ers forum the past couple days, and they are extremely confident. The majority of them feel as if they are Super Bowl bound. They've had some funny/depressing things to say, and here are some of the highlights -

The pokes are nothing but another insiginificant speedbump on our march to the Superbowl

If our D can stop their O, its game over.

Niners always beat soft *** teams like the Cowboys

After that, they went into a Romo thing. I won't bring those posts here, though.

I can't wait to destroy those b*******

Their o-line provides a spark at the beginning of the game, until they ultimately fizzle once the pass rush starts honing in on Romo.

Kap throws for 230 yards 3 TDs 0 ints and the rune game is capped off with Hyde running for 68 yards in the 4th quarter.

49ers end up losing 9-35

stop Dez, we win. purriod

[in reply] Guess we should sign the police to play corner

This one made me totally lmao. Talking about how to cover Dez -

Brock, he's proved he can hang with the best. He gives Crabtree and Boldin trouble in practice and he did a number on Andre Johnson.

As a cowboy hater for more years than I care to admit, they have usually the best cheerleaders in the NFL year after year. Way better than the goldrush. Raider girls nearly as good usually

And when Tony broke his ribs and punctured a lung -

It was Carlos Rogers. nice memories. Romo couldnt handle that, Brooks will put Romo out for the rest of the game when he gets to him.

There were a lot more "harsh" posts than that, but I won't bring them here because they would probably violate about 3/4 of the forum's rules. They've changed my viewpoint on the game a little. It means more to me. I want this game more.

The 49ers GON GET THIS WORK. Dez will rip their pride away from them and hand it back like he didn't want it anyway. THEY AIN'T ABOUT THAT LIFE. Their entire team won't be able to look their families in the eyes after Sunday. We're not just going to beat them, we're going to BEAT. THEM. DOWN. They're gonna wish the NFL had some sort of mercy rule after we demoralize them. But in all seriousness, the game won't even be fun to watch because we'll be playing our backups after half time. Weeden can handle it from there. Kaepernick is going to leave AT&T Stadium as a DALLAS COWBOYS FAN. Make sure the 9ers fans stay away from all tall buildings and any sharp objects... THEY. DON'T. WANT. THESE. PROBLEMS.

I'm pretty pumped.

Is there any word about the ruling on McDonald? If he's out then SF will be missing 4 of their starting front 7.

I haven't heard anything. Goodell may bring the hammer down hard on him after the Rice disaster.

I heard that Goodell will let the legal process unfold first and that they situation may be more complicated. Not sure if the team will do any self-imposed punishment. I expect to see him week #1.

Can't wait for the Boys to hammer the teams that have already put down the game as a win. Any given Sunday.

I don't frequent Niner-boards, but I do live in the area here. For the most part, the fans I come across are actually pretty subdued about their team this season. They've been so close for so long, and now with the injuries and some of the organizational discord, you get the sense that there's concern this team may have already crested.

Plus, the DAL/SF rivalry is an old one, and we've got the upper hand in it. Overall, they don't look down on us because at the back of their minds, we can beat them. And they've got the recent evidence to prove it.
Either way, game on. I'm dying for this weekend.

I'll say what I've been saying to 9er fans all off-season. They just need to worry about keeping guys out of jail. I think that by mid-season every teams is going to be worried playing us. This offense is going to do that to people IMO.

That quote from the OP is going to be a a broken record this year. Bout sums us up as I see us. Better than average O with no D at all. 45-41 games galore, just how many can we win those?

With all the subs we should be able to confuse them fairly easily, I sure we have a bunch we didn't show in pre-season.........I hope.

And luckily Kaep isn't much of a cerebral QB. And add into that the change again in playcallers both on O and D, they won't be able to completely game plan off of last year's team too much.

I think this is a trap game for the 49ers. They think it will be easy but the Cowboys will put up a good fight.

I had a dream last night that we beat San Fran 38-31. One of our receivers caught the game winning TD pass on a deflection off of Witten. That damn dream seemed so real. Hope it turns into reality.

Are you sure that was a 9ers fan sight or Cowboys fan sight. Hard to tell. lol
