I put the Eagles ahead of Dallas in every category. And to make things worse the Eagles have two first round picks next year to make themselves even better
The Eagles have 11 starters who will be FAs, 8 on defense, along with several key backups. 4 of those FAs currently will be a 34m cap hit next season even if not resigned. Another is 32. Realistically they can resign maybe half at best. They have a total of 5 draft picks 2 1st and 2 7ths. They still have to pay their QB!

Man for a franchise that is so much better than us it must be an accomplishment to have a winning record vs them and have a QB that owns them.

I've seen several posts and comments here Da Zone, stating the Cowboys are not that far behind the Super Bowl contending Philadelphia Eagles, ..
So per opinion/thoughts, how do we the Cowboys compare to the Philly Eagles in various areas, units and positions ?

Here's a look at mine.

MANAGEMENT TEAM/FRONT OFFICE - Eagles

COACHES:
Head Coach - Eagles
Offensive Coordinator - Eagles
Defensive Coordinator - Eagles

OFFENSE
Quarterback - Eagles
Running Backs - Cowboys
Tight End - Eagles
Wide Receiver - Eagles
Offensive Line - Cowboys

DEFENSE
Defensive Line - Eagles
Linebackers - Cowboys
Cornerbacks - Eagles
Safety- Eagles

SPECIAL TEAMS:
FG kicker - Eagles
Punter - Cowboys
Return specialist - Cowboys
hmmm, let me see. they are playing in the superbowl. we are not.

Your way off on some of them. Eagles Oline is the best in the NFL. Cowboys is middle of the pack.

Cowboys having better RB's is debatable. Dak is better than Hurts.

Sorry, Eagles have best OLine in league, including 2 HOFers playing at their peak, and the best OLineman in football regardless of position (lane johnson, next year will be 3rd straight year of not allowing a single sack).

Even RBs is debateable: .miles Sanders voted to proBowl (before all the alternates started getting in).

Cowboys have huge special teams advantage....and better LBers, assuming u don't count Reddick as a LB.

BUT, that's this year. Things can change rapidly these days....one year to the next

Agree with most choices but I think:
- Eagles’ o-line is better than Cowboys o-line
- Eagles’ RB-by-committee is better than Cowboys RBs, mostly due to the wear-and-tear on Zeke
- I don’t think Dak is better than Hurts; Hurtz has played for Alabama and Oklahoma and been successful at every level; he has surpassed Dak’s abilities in just two-years in the league; amazing what great coaching and supporting cast do for a QB…hopefully our uber-confident FO staff is taking notes.

I wonder how many Cowboys fans remember how much they laughed at the Eagles when they drafted Jalen Hurts. So logic dictates that if you are willing to go on record as being a jealous Cowboys fan right now, then you might as well go retroactive and apologize for every transgression against your newfound admiration for the Eagles. Apologize for laughing at the failure of Carson Wentz, which ended up being the genesis of the Eagles having multiple first round draft picks over the last couple of seasons. In other words, please balance out those criticisms of what the Cowboys did wrong with how YOU were wrong about the Eagles.

Ehhhh.............. we have the better DC. Gannon can be all over the place and has had some really bad performances. Teams that can exploit his zones just crush him. Look at what Dak has done against that zone defense. Quinn is a better DC.

Safety is a push.

I'd also give us the edge at TE simply because we are deeper (although I was considering Schultz and he's likely not back).

True on OL. RBs are probably a push although IMO Pollard is the best of the bunch. Dak is not better than Hurts. Hurts had a much better year than Dak.

We don’t compare to Philly. They’re going to their second Super Bowl in five years and we’re still looking for our first divisional round playoff win in 27 years.

Next year…Eagles are blessed on next year’s schedule compared to the Cowboys. It’s comical. In addition to the annual advantage of short road trips to two of the three intra-division rivals, while Cowboys travel a long way for all three. While the schedules are similar as they’re in the same division, the NFCE draws the AFCE. The two best teams are Buffalo and Miami. Both are home games for the Eagles, both are road games for the Cowboys. That leaves NY Jets and New England as “road” games for Philly. If those are 1:00 PM games the Eagles are home in time for supper with their families. And the Eagles have to play a division winner schedule, Cowboys 2nd place. Eagles get Minnesota while the Cowboys get the Lions. You tell me which Is likely better next year. Eagles get Tampa Bay while the Cowboys get Carolina. The Bucs will be in a major transition, Panthers D was very improved by seasons end. I think I’d rather play TB. And Eags get KC while Dallas gets LAC. Certainly most teams would prefer to play the Chargers except, perhaps the Cowboys, who face the opposing OC most familiar with them. KC might be an easier draw for Dallas. And even with the NFCE playing the NFCW. The best team is San Francisco, by far. Of course, home game for the Eagles, road game for the Cowboys. The Eagles have two potential international games as KC and NE host one each. But the Eagles at Chiefs will certainly be the Thursday game to open the season so maybe travel to Europe to play the Pats. Cowboys only potential int’l game is vs. Buffalo. All things considered, Philadelphia won the division and still gets an easier schedule the following year. No justice for Jerry.

This year we were 1-1 against them with a backup QB in the loss.
that is meaningless, they beat our bkup, and we beat their bkup.
however in the 1st game they looked awesome against our defense, and would have won even if dak had played.
