I’m really intrigued by adding Dalton Kincaid, he is not like the TE’s the Cowboys would normally target, but potentially be that mismatch TE we have been lacking since Witten’s prime. Yes, more of an oversized receiver, not much of a blocker, but they have that already with Ferguson.Dak has a high win rate when the Cowboys rush for over 100 and hold the opponent to less than 100 yards rushing.
The new run blocking scheme/coaching is critical.
- Pray that the new OL coach, RB coach and Offensive Coordinator(s) get that worked out.
Draft a future All-Pro at TE or OL or WR or RB. Position is less important than quality of the new player.
- i.e. Think about the impact Parsons and Tyler Smith had as rookies.
Current Roster:
OL: If Steele is ready by game 1, the starters are set. Tyron will start!
WR: They replaced Noah Brown with Brandin Cooks. Gallup should be 100% healthy. Starters are set.
RB: Pollard is good. The #2 or combination of #2/#3 RBs much be significant contributors.
TE: The least experienced position group on the team. Another 4th rounder is not going to be an upgrade from Ferguson.
Have to fix their rushing attack, scheme/personnel. Think adding more depth is important for the OL, especially with Tyron’s durability. Find a legitimate, starting caliber type of back and perhaps add the use of a full back
