From PFF's https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-5-pff-stats-you-need-to-know-from-nfl-week-13/

3. When given a clean pocket from which to throw in the Giants’ 24-14 loss to the Steelers, New York QB Eli Manning managed a passer rating of just 58.4.

That’s the second-worst rating from a clean pocket all week, better than only Jacksonville’s Blake Bortles. Manning was one of the least-accurate quarterbacks this week, ranking fifth-worst in adjusted completion percentage, at just 65.8. He finished with 195 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, and was zero-for-three on his three attempts that went 20 or more yards downfield. Manning now ranks just 26th for the season in PFF’s quarterback grades, at 53.9—just ahead of the likes of Bortles, Case Keenum, and Trevor Siemian

Since we play NYGs Sunday night this is germane. Now we can only hope Eli doesn't get stupid hot where everything he throws up is a PI for the Giants, some stupid underthrown ball resulting in a circus catch, or he somehow manages to be on completing good passes.

I don't like him being able to sit back there and pass. I hope they throw some double LBer blitzes with games or not particular up the A gap or blitzes from outside.

How do they play Beckham and do they blitz a lot if no pressure from 3-5 players?

The goal is not to shut out ODB, if that is your goal well sorry. Play him no differently than any other teams #1. Do not let him get behind and when he catches the ball rally to him and tackle him. Also a little head game, little holds and tugs get him chippy towards the refs.

I agree ODB will make his catches the big key is to limit yardage just as Dallas has done with most WR. No one is confusing the Cowboys defense to the 85 Bears but on the other hand this defense has done a pretty good job of keeping team down

By playing solid defense in the secondary..stunts with Collins and Irving and Terrell.

D-law is playing well and only going to get better.

Makes mediocre talent on the d-line not so obvious...Byron Jones at FS is a huge factor in our success this year.

Most importantly..the way to put pressure on Eli is him on the sidelines watching our offense led by our O line, Dak ,Cole,Dez and Double E absolutely wear their *** out.

That's some pressure right there.

Someone can post the stats and prove me wrong, but Eli always seems to play great agains us. And we certainly will give him plenty of clean pockets to try to improve that clean pocket rating.

Seems like they have been able to contain him ever since that game with the circus catch.

How you get pressure on Eli is that you hope that the guys we have can figure out how to abuse Erek Flowers. He's the weak link, and you have to hope that Tank can get some pressure if you line him up over him enough.

I would think we'd try to follow the season-long formula, control TOP and make NY work for their scores by not giving up easy points...

We have to take away the 5-15 yard quick hitters and can't go into Cover 0 because Eli kills Cover 0.

Someone get the number for Eli's cell. When he drops back to pass, I'll call him, interrupting his progression and forcing him to answer. Then, I'll try to keep him on the line long enough for the pass rush to get there.

Our best shot is to simply keep Eli and his WR group off the field. Not worried about their running game, it's non-existent. We win TOP we SHOULD win this game.

I am confident that 100% of the big plays of eli's career were made when the defense completely screwed up and eli closed his eyes and threw the ball. Just dont get cute, play the same defense theyve played all year and let him throw the game away.

I vote that Crawford pokes Eli in the eyes and then Irving jumps on top and punches him 6 or 7 times.... that ought to rattle him.
