How do you build around 3 players making up 50% of Cap?

This is what we are looking at if we resign Lamb, Prescott and Parsons.

Even our dysfunctional ownership has mentioned this in our 1st week at Training Camp.

I’m not sure any Franchise has ever attempted such a task?

We couldn’t build around them on Rookie contracts , how do you if they are about half of your Cap. I’m all ears people!!

Then just come out and be honest and say "we can't sign all of them, one of them won't make it!" Let these guys seek a trade, or hell let it play out and don't resign them. It is hard to sign these three big deals, we'll have plenty of UDFA's on this team and rookies that we hope will be good enough to get us wins

I agree. Next question is which one ?

My first thought is nobody is winning SB’s with just a WR1.

But I know what the most popular response will be which won’t bring us any closer to advancing in playoffs or a SB, at least until we find another QB.

Yeah we saw how that went before the desperate move to get Cooper, then that leaves you without a 1st round draft pick in the draft. There's some tough choices to make here, but for us to sign all 3 and get the same results would be terrorizing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The key is the QB. If you want to play others, he must agree to longer term deals so money can be kicked down the road so the team can be/stay in contention.
Key is for him not to be selfish, this whole money thing is getting selfish. Guys can have one good season and demand top dollar as if they've earned it for several seasons

If we do resign our QB, dont see how we can resign both Lamb and Parsons.

That’s right. I don’t believe any franchise has ever attempted such a feat in Cap era.

Somebody has to go.
I think you start at the top and look at the person who's had a deal already, that would be Dak! He's had a deal, the others are young and are in their prime

That's why KC dumped Hill. They did not want to. Then they franchised Jones for a year while some salary cap space cleared up, kicked Mahomes's salary down the road, and signed the Defensive guy. Which is what you are forced to do. Your QB will have to make do w/ rooks and #2 type WRs.

Top paying QB’s have to make the tough decision without a top paying WR1.

Chiefs had to make that tough decision. Vikings were able to pay Jefferson only cause they let Cousins walk.

This is where we are. Someone has to go.

Ok but how many years do you waste with them In their prime while looking for another playoff caliber QB.

Kneejerk trades for WRs is a detriment to super bowl contention. If we let that season play out as we should have, we'd have had higher draft picks and Dak could've gotten used to the WRs we did have.

we act like we're too scared to let players go or trade them! There's always the sweet talk from the owners on how much we love them and are working hard to do this and that, NO if it's hurting your team or can, let them go!
