How do you eat your Whataburger ?

Just stop'ed at Whataburger on the way home yesterday. Double meat and cheese all the fixins. Large order of onion rings and a fried apple pie. Oh and a diet coke. I can still remember my first Whataburger. it was in Galveston, I was Ten it was fresh. Been a life long love afare ever since.

It can be better with fresh grilled meat and be better than the Out if it has A1 steak sauce on it with grilled onions hamburger dills cheese mayo mustard katsup toasted bun with butter on it and there is grease dripping in quantities to dip you fries in

Reminds me of my favorite hamburger thread.

I do not like mayo or ketchup on a hamburger or ketchup on hot dogs. Too sweet. Ketchup on french fries is fine with me, mayo on turkey or ham is okay. It has to be mustard on a burger or dog.

I get the #2 double, with Cheese, all the veggies, grilled onion, grilled Jalapeno, mustard for sure.

You gotta love Mustard as the default sauce too.

Also what is up with their Ketchup? Its the best Ketchup in all of the world and it doesn't come in the little stupid ketchup packets either.

How do I eat a Whataburger??

Well, it's been a while since I had the opportunity to (September of 1992, not that I'm counting or anything), but as best as I can remember, I stuck a substantial portion of the burger in my mouth, bit down, tore off that substantial portion, masticated contendedly for some moments, then swallowed... I repeated that basic procedure until said burger was consumed...

Then, again to the best of my recollection, I did it again... at which point, with the help of some fair to middlin' fries, I was pretty close to full...

It's a strange question you asked, and I hope you found my answer enlightening... do they do it much different these days in Texas?? I mean, I've been around for 55 years now, and I always assumed there was only the one standard way to eat a burger... I'd be fascinated to hear about some of the other possibilities...

Are the onion rings good there?

I never get them because I love dipping fries in their ketchup so much.

I've never understood hot dogs with Ketchup. I've never tried it and never will. Mustard all the way.

I've also became a big fan of spicy mustard on just regular sandwiches made @ home.

i too live in Corpus, but there is one thing for sure, no matter how you order your burger there, YOU MUST REQUEST THEM TO TOAST THE BUNS!!! and of course with jalepenos too.

oh and their DR Pepper is the best.

Don't ever get out Whataburgered.

Double meat, double cheese, lettuce, mayo and mustard both, bacon, jalepenos, onion rings, and fries all piled in there. I try to limit myself to once a month but used to eat em 3-4 times a week.

I've never been, but there is NO way that it's better than IN N Out.
