If we nail free agency, draft well and become disciplined, I can see us making the NFCCG. Realistically, I wouldn't be surprised to see us flounder through another mediocre season. Some lazy players might have to go to have the right mindset on the field.

I picked reach the 1st or 2nd round because I don't even know what they're team is going to look like, let alone the competition. But I am optimistic about this HC and DC getting these guys closer to their potential. At least the D players will have one voice and not that stupid "who's our DC today"?

For instance, do they let Cooper walk and take a WR in the 1st and elevate Gallup to WR1 role? Do they keep Cobb? Or let Jones walk and take a CB in the 1st? Pretty safe bet they keep Prescott, tagged or not. Does the FO go all in with this group thinking the time is now and try to keep the band together?

Have to wait to learn more about whether McC will be the head coach in the true sense of the term... or, in the dysfunctional sense that Jerry's been imposing most of the last 30 years.

Will reach the playoffs, but I feel we can reach the playoffs with any QB under this new coaching staff and surrounding talent on offense. Find someone to take them over the top with this offense otherwise we're hoping that we get to match up against some severely injured teams that limped into the playoffs.

1st or 2nd round of playoffs seems most reasonable to me.

Would be surprised if we missed the playoffs altogether.
And EXPECTING a conference championship appearance or more is probably a bit too far on the other end of the spectrum.

Division is still weak,the schedule is tougher but i think we can make the playoffs with some luck .

I think the Cowboys will be a better team, but I expect the Eagles to be better as well, so it may still be tough to win the division.

I think we're going to see a more focused, energized team, including coaches. How that translates to wins l just don't know. We have a pretty tough schedule next year. But I do think, as Parcells once said, we could be a better team next year with a worse record...

call me crazy but i think they could go to the nfc championship game next season. not to pile on garrett but in addition to all the incompetence with him and his staff i think everything got very stale. mccarthy and all his new coaches will breathe new life into the players and i think they could make some noise real fast.

i do believe the talent level of this roster is probably overstated at times, but this is a very talented roster. so much so that i think they won 8 games this season on talent alone, so i am very excited to see what this team can do with a new coaching staff and new ideas.

We need to see a whole lot more before we predict how they will do but so far i've not seen any indications of improvement from the coaching staff. i mean Nolan is better than former LB coach but i'm not sure he's a better DC than Marinelli, atleast not in his previous stints as DC. I need to see how free agency plays out and the draft to see what kind of team we end up with. We can't do worse at ST so i guess they get a plus there.
