Funny.

The difference is, I actually understand what I'm watching. You play fantasy football.

Yep. Romo really is overrated by sentimental Cowboys fans when it comes down to it. He's behind Danny White in my book. Funny that Parcells warned Tony about some of the flaws of which you speak, and he never committed himself to making the necessary changes; basically blowing off an esteemed coach. Guy really didn't have any true respect for the QB position, otherwise he would've adapted his game
I agree in part. I have Romo as the third best QB but you can easily flip Romo, White and Meredith in any order you want.

Diehardblues said it best. If Dak wasn’t a Cowboy, many of the zone members here that defend him would instead be highly critical. Homers get their title of ‘homer’ because they lose the ability to remain objective. They go to the Nth degree when it comes to giving the benefit of the doubt to their favorite team/player. They never pause and ask themselves “would I really feel this positively about this player if he was was a Steeler, Seahawk, Falcon, etc”

It’s a simple exercise that objective fans do subconsciously
If Dak wasn’t a Cowboy I wouldn't even give him a thought.

Put Romo on Troy's teams, and Troy in Romo's teams.

Who's in the Hall of Fame?
I know Troy was great in the playoffs. Romo flopped many times in the playoffs and it wasn't just about his team. He didn't play great in many of those games. So yea he had the talent to win one but he never did. And his mistakes at the worst times were infuriating. Sorry I'm not putting Romo over HOF QBs. He was probably about the 8th or 9th best QB of his era but that's all I'll give him. He was always on the top of the second tier.

I love Troy but it's not even close, as great a leader as Troy was(and also talented) there is no way he would have been able to do any of the things Romo did with the same lack of talent that Romo had, the only exception i have to this is the 2007 team, that was a talented team and Troy might have gotten them over the top if we are talking about the 92-95 Troy. Other than that Troy was dog meat behind some of the lines Romo played behind

Dak has carried the team . He and Romo have such dissimilar styles that you cant get past it . It dosent mean Romos style was right or better . He failed miserably many times .

Romo had good teams and failed period they were not all bad teams. Romo was a gunslinger Dak makes ball security a priority . By all means Romo could throw the backshoulder fade but couldn't run past the freaking line of scrimmage Dak can use his legs and make defenses pay . Dak rushes for TDs 2pt conversions . No defense feared Romo doing that because he couldn't run .

Teams baited Romo to throw he ran the clock to 0 so the D could T off on him. Talk about a guy with flaws that he never changed . How about when to give up on a play and throw it away More to the game than the BSF LOL

Dak is in shape stays healthy and available Romo could not do that . Dak can be tackled by NFL players and get up and continue to lead his team Romo couldn't do that .

Dak is young and a winner who will work on his game improve and make us proud . Romo was a gunslinger who made a lot of bad choices that left us frustrated and in the end without a QB because he ran in a meaningless preseason game after just recovering from an injury .

Dak picked up what we thought was a lost season and gave us some great football to watch till he was undone by Garretts coaching . No the following year he could not overcome the loss of Tyron, Lee and Zeke or the fact Dez lost focus , couldn't catch and Garrett was still a poor coach .

This year he may not be the best back shoulder passer but he will move the chains and win games . That's all I ask from a QB.

Ya man Dak showed us all when Zeke went out for 6 weeks how talented he is....how he carried the load and the team into the Playoffs with his +300 yard passing games week in week out! Dak is already showed the world he is a one man show baby!!!

P.S. Hey man send us some of the good stuff you drinking will you.....lol...

Not that you ever watched the games, being a phony out of state fan, but Troy flopped in several playoff games and was actually quite awful in the playoff games he played once he was on teams closer in talent to the ones Tony was on. Romo had one bad playoff game. Troy’s playoff stats are mostly buoyed by the blowout Super Bowl, which he was admittedly awesome in.

Well we never did anything with Tony so he really didn't do much. He was wasted here.

Romo was the best quarterback in Cowboys history. Yes, I said it.

He just suffered from Jerry's idiocy.

By the way, Staubach and Aikman agree with me.
Your certainly entitled to your opinion but if I recall correctly they offered their public support when the criticisms were very strong on Romo in comparisons to our HOF QB’s.

And it illustrates the class of these two. But honestly I’d place Merideth and probably Morton ahead of Romo who was the most over achieving QB in Cowboy history making the most of his god given ability.

Absolutely agree with that. His talent was wasted
Yes it was wasted.

On the most part he played on horrid teams which he uplifted into contention which made him look greater but when he had competitive teams didn’t have the signature type game to elevate them further . Almost did in Green Bay.

The Shonda is he didn’t have more opportunities which is on Jerry.

I could see how you could make a case for Merideth, but Morton? are you serious?

IF you think Romo is as good as Staubach or Aikman either you don't know football or your not old enough to know better....
Staubach, maybe not. Troy, definitely.

Troy would have been maimed on Romo's teams.

Tony probably has 3 SB wins and is in the HoF; Troy probably has no SB wins and isn't in the HoF. But that and $4 will buy you a tall latte at Starbucks. Circumstances matter. I've said numerous times on here that if Tony and Eli were swapped, in all likelihood Tony has at least 1 Super Bowl and Eli none. But both of these are fun to noodle on, but mean absolutely nothing because they're opinion and not provable.
