How does Dak Prescott compare to other great QB’s of this era?

No that was Romo that had to be carried . Dak stays in shape, healthy and available
I couldnt care less about what Romo did. All i care about is getting a real QB in here that can elevate the team around him and not turn in to Seneca Wallace when the all-pro RB misses games

I think it was more the Oline and specifically Tyrons back that caused Dak to struggle .

What do you say we see what happens with a healthy O Line this year and then pass judgement . Lets see if his off season work has paid off . If he sucks with a top 5 oline and a 1000 yrd rusher we need to make a move . Till he proves bad Im in his corner , I see a lot of upside and I very much like his style of play

Cliff notes on Dak:

2016 with perfect protection, great running game and a QB to game plan each week for him, and to tell him what defense he was seeing on the field. He did exceptional
2017 with a let pressure, average running game, and nobody to read the defense and game plan for him, he played below average.

Solution:
Spend all the money on the offensive line and get a QB coach who can tell Dak what the defense is running and too expect, he can be average. Pressure cause him to not to be able to stay composed and read the defense. His first thoughts is to run, or to thow to someone who's very open. This is what is causing his high throws, low throws and throws behind the receivers.

Positives:
Hard worker, scared to make turnovers.

Franchise QB:

um probably more close to what his scouting reports say about him.

Don't care if Dak needs help or not. It's how he handles himself and protects the ball. If we start winning playoff games that's all I care about. Saw stats the last 10 years and no big results. If Dak can't handle it, I'll be ready to move on. Got to give him a chance first though.

I think all rational fans feel the same way . If Dak cant handle it we move on but you have to give the guy time to mature . All we are asking is to give the guy a legitimate chance with a healthy team .
The coaching is what it is but if this kid can get us to the playoffs consistently we have a chance . All this Nit Picking on a second year guy who has more than proved there is plenty of upside to his game .

We had all kinds of patients with Romo as he developed his game but his health would not let the process come to fruition . I don't see why its the end of the world if we give Dak 3 or 4 years to mature after all he was thrown in the fire as a rookie with out time to watch and learn the NFL game like Romo had .

Give the kid the same chance to prove himself that we gave Romo he deserves it

No thks, we want to jump to conclusions, too boring to wait and see.

He wasn't awful last year. The conditions were definitely less ideal. I'd just like for him to be able to throw the ball outside in the 10-20 yard range so defenses can't clog the middle of the field anymore.

Dak aint taking us anywhere. Its clear he has to be carried by the supporting cast :lmao::lmao2:
Tell us how you really think WillieB
:muttley:

I'm not with you yet on this one.

Call me naïve, but 1/2 half season putrid QB play last year did not completely erase his prior work.
I get why some are concerned, but I'll give him a bit more developmental time.
I'm even optimistic that he gives us solid play going forward.

Impossible. Must be an illusion. I have read here that Dak can’t throw further than 5 yards, he can’t throw back shoulder, and he can’t throw to the sidelines.
Dink and dunk? Checkdown Charlie? Yeah, avoid putting any stock in that sort of ridiculous hatred.

There have been a few, but what you're leaving out is a good defense. Prescott played plenty good enough in the playoffs to win offensively. That's not what lost us the game. So your Dak hatred point is really silly if you factor everything realistically.
Not just spouting off incorrect "facts" like he can't throw a back shoulder fade.......
Where in the OP is defense the teams inherited discussed?

Man i felt the same way about Romo. Worst part is I had to wait a decade to be proven right. Hopefully your wrong, and if you are right about Dak lets hope it doesn't take the Cowboys 10 years to figure it out.
Romo elevated the players around him.

See: Miles Austin Laurent Robinson Patrick Crayton

Patrick Crayton put up t will numbers.
Robinson had one breakout season of +800 yards the rest were 300 yard seasons.
Miles austin was really good but couldn't stay healthy. He would have been good regardless of QB. Please with the BS narrative. Romo played with a record 13 pro bowlers in 2007. He had talent all around him. They just didn't get it done.
