How does Dak Prescott compare to other great QB’s of this era?

Geez. LOL, how does this level of stupidity get published?

How many quarterbacks in NFL history inherited this perfect of an offensive situation as a rookie?

Nobody. Dak walked into a championship caliber offense.

Most rookie quarterbacks who play right away were drafted by awful football teams.
Stupidity is posting such a comment while failing to remember how Romo inherited a franchise record 13 Pro Bowlers led team in 2007.

Wow. That was a horrible rebuttal attempt.

More "I'm winning" BS, lol.

Lmao, yeah. He just got lucky. Over and over.

Congratulations. You're the only person on the planet who thinks Dak is good at the back-shoulder throw. Amazing.

Romo also sat on the bench his first few years. Couldn't even beat out Quincy Carter.

Because Jerry was obsessed with Chad Hutchinson and Drew Henson. This franchise couldn't recognize a real football player to save its life in those years. Worst drafting in NFL history.

You claimed he couldn't throw it. I showed he can. And has.
Now, you're putting words in my mouth.
There's plenty of thing Prescott can work on and improve without making things up.

Romo wasn't the QB that he became when he was a rookie. It took time. If Romo would have started then he probably would have been run out of Dallas.

Parcells was in no Hurry either. BP was HC Tony Rookie season. I know it is nice to blame everything you disagree with on Jerry but BP had a big say in who the starting QB was going to be

Romo never passed for over 300 yards, more than 2 TDs or brought the team back from being down 18 points halfway through the 2nd quarter to tie the game with less than 40 seconds left in a playoff game, especially as a rookie.
LO, that game will never die. Green Bay was horribly injured on defense.

Next week early in the second quarter

Atlanta 31, Green Bay 0.

The Packers sucked.

Sean Payton was trying like crazy to get him to New Orleans because he knew.

Parcells always beats up on quarterbacks, especially young ones. He knew Romo had something.

Yep Parcells was in charge of who played QB in 2003.

Chances are that was the best thing for Romo, if he was not ready and thrown out there fans would have eaten him alive as they did Henson, Hutchinson and Carter. BP then brings in Vinny and then Bledsoe those in no way were Jerry selections those were BP guys. When BP felt Romo was ready he took Drew out and gave Romo the chance. I was glad he did and supported Romo even when critics were riding him. This is Dak team now and I will give him the same chance to prove himself as I did Romo. No doubt things I see that I feel Dak needs to improve on but there are several things I like in Dak that makes me feel he can get the job done.

Yea he knew he had something. That's why he wasn't cut. He also knew he wasn't ready to start.

Every single quarterback in the league CAN throw a back-shoulder. Doesn't mean they do it well.

Dak CAN beat Garrett in an accuracy competition. He just rarely ever does it.

If he throws 100 back shoulders, he'll complete 20% of them. That doesn't make it a good option.

You want to compare Romo's first two seasons as a starter with Dak's? Go ahead.
2006, even though that was Romo's 3rd season on the team coughed up a snap in the Seattle playoff game. That was a great opportunity for that team to make a run had he not fumbled. We would have beat Seattle, moved on to play Chicago who barley beat Seattle by 3 points and moved on to destroy New Orleans 39-14.
The next year with a 13-3 stacked team he passed for 200 yards and threw a game ending INT.
The last drive he threw one short to Witten, the next deep to Crayton and the season ender INT intended for Glenn.

and Dak put up the numbers what GB were world beaters when Dallas lost to them with Romo at QB? How about all the other playoff loses we had with Romo at QB? I loved having Romo and always willing to give him the chance what kills me is how some here are not willing to give that to Dak but will make every excuse in the book for Tony.

I was ready for Romo then too. I was very encouraged by what I saw in the pre-season that year. But before then I barely knew who he was. Never cared much for Vinny. Drew was okay his first year here but by his second it was time to try the kid. lol I just think Dak has earned the chance to prove himself. Don't care what anyone says his rookie year he was very good.
