how will he stop Kearse two times a year?
how will he stop Strahan two times a year?
HOW will he stop any of the speed LE's out there? I bet half of our opponents he will have trouble with....teams will use this weakness against us and blitz from that side...stunt from that side...so we paid over 50 mill for a guy who is not a lock to stop people?????????????????????????????????????????????

why not give Marco 10 mill up front if you are going to give Davis 15 or 20?

I didn't realize he had to do all this at the RG position...

The guy gave up 8 sacks playing LT the hardest spot on the line. The great Walter Jones gave up 10. Excuse me if I think he can move to RT which is an easier position and play ok. We are not talking about Rob Petitti or Torrin Tucker here

I HOPE Davis was strictly signed as a guard. He is NOT CAPABLE of being a really good tackle. he is just too big. Look at all the top tackles in the NFL and none of them are close to his size.

jon Jansen of was - 6-6

Bryant McKinnie of MIN 6-8
Orlando Pace of STL 6-7
Chris Samuels of Was 6-5

thats not the point at all. Look at their weight. I dont know about the others, but samuels and jansen weigh 310 and 300 respectivly. The point being, at 366, he can't move well enough to protect against speed rushers off the end. He just isn't made for it

I agree... I think if Davis is playing RT we took a step back. I just don't like him at that position unless he gets motivated and loses some weight. Now if Colombo gets signed then I'm happy. But I don't think that's happening. I just don't think JJ wants to spend that kind of money on the OL. And is Colombo going to sign for less than Davis... if Davis is playing RG? Seems backwards to me, as Ts always make more than Gs. Who knows though... I hope I'm wrong and we can sign Colombo, but not at Davis money.

You're probably speaking to me. Yes. I've watched him play and I take it all into account. The fact that he played in AZ is enough for me to give him a chance under Sparano. With Davis at "Guard" I am very happy. Back to your overreaction... Enjoy.

Jerry will brink back Colombo. Adams will not be a Cowboy next year so Procter will be allowed to stay on the LT position. Why not spend the money for Colombo? All Dallas has to do is match whatever price the Jets are willing to pay. Dallas will only be paying Davis, Colombo, and Gurode. Kosier was a steal. With the Hotel gone, it more than frees enough money to resign other guys. Ideally I would like to see Colombo resigned and a reciever and tackle taken in rounds 1 and 2. Robert Meachem might be there at 22 and a tackle could slip to round 2. The O would be set even after Owens and Adams were let go. As for the CB/ FS problem , bring in Porter in case Ellis is not ready to go and that will cure the pass rush. It won't matter who the CBs are if the QB is being harrassed.
