We ARE enjoying the loss in the HOPE it brings CHANGE.
The last 16 years have been a kick in the teeth of REAL FANS.
REAL FANS care about the Cowboys. FAKE FANS care only about their brother and milking everything they can out of Jerry and gullible fans.
Yes, I hate what your brother has done to the Cowboys!

That's not the process at all. That is a fan says reason. Jerry has become a top of the line business person, but he always delivers an upgrading product. He is extremely creative and has been a driving force in the evolving of the sport as well.

Oh, he is very productive with his knowledge. One can trust he is motivated upon product. He actually loves the sport of football. That he honest in his efforts for.

He has tons of successful business huge in values. He is really committed to the success of the franchise. Not all owners are the same and only want investment returns.
This is foolishness. Sort of.

Jerry DOES *want* to win. Of course! He makes money NOW, a Super Bowl would be even more.

But.... His commitment....is the success of the franchise done HIS way.

Some might say that isn't really commitment to the success of franchise. The results should speak for themselves.

You do it without a 50 mill QB that does not make enough plays to justify it and can't handle the big stage. That's second. First is you have to keep Jerry out of player management!

You need complimentary pieces, so you can force multiple. Having the best pass rush and best corners is irrelevant if you can't stop the run.

In fact it is a waste of cap space.

Having a great OLine means you don't need a great RB.

Putting your QB constantly in 3rd and short makes their job significantly easier.

We know how dominant our D can be playing with a lead and making the offense one dimensional. However, for some odd reason we can't comprehend how that makes Dak's job very difficult when he is in the same exact situation.
If that is a description on how to blame for solving issues...

I think that the team should cut the price of beer at the stadium to two dollars most of the fans just wouldn't care.

First off, I want to thank @NEODOG for posting a thoughtful question without bashing someone, or everyone. Looking at the threads of late, it’s a rarity.

Now to your question of ”How does this team move forward?” We al know there are a myriad of problems. Weak defensive line, weak offensive line, safeties playing as line backers, can’t stop the run, can’t run the ball, stupid mental penalties throughout the year, bad clock management(Detroit game), inability to handle the elements(Bills game), Dak not running enough, bad defensive and offensive play calling and I could go on a bit more.

How do you fix it?

I don’t care how they address these needs be it draft, free agency or trades.

#1 need is beef up both the DT’s and LB’s. You’ll never win in the playoffs if your defense cannot stop the run. That’s a fact. There are of course some one offs, but consistently you will not win.

#2 need is to improve the talent at center. Biadiaz would be a decent backup for any team. But he gets bulldozed more often than not. The best way to defense any QB is to get pressure up the middle. He allows that.

#3 Get Derrick Henry or a Henry type back. You want to establish the run? Get you a Henry type back.

#4 Get a new, tough defensive coordinator. We’ve seen that the “bend but don’t break” defensive philosophy doesn’t work with both Marinelli and now Quinn.

IMHO, this is how the team moves forward. Do this, and despite Jerry, and his country club atmosphere, they can go all the way.
As long as Jerry is the gm you can’t move forward.

What if you have an all pro RB, QB and WR with a poor OLine, how do you think that will work out?

Not at optimum potential. But that no where is the picture. On this offense were Pro Bowlers: Martin, Smith, Smith, Lamb, and Prescott. Any offense can work with three Pro Bowlers on their offensive line.

That is basically our defensive situation to a T.

No, not at all. Defensive Coordinator is at issue there as well as a large defensive tackle and a large linebacker. Not a great change projection there except for Defensive Coodinator...that could be filled by the current Cornerback Coach. He's already in house.

You’ll be talking about this again next year. Cowboys need a new gm.
That's your job, 'cool aide'....insult doesn't teach, neither do you

No get a job as a bell ringer...try AT&T Stadium for Salvation Army or get into a discussion, not insultive name calling.

The clurrent Mike McCarthy has that functional job as GM for Dallas. Jerry signs off on his directions. 'Cool aide.'

There is a hot spot around the corner, quick, go watch.

You forgot #5: End the Dak experiment and groom a tough and credible future QB who does not collapse in the playoffs.
