Whatever it is, Norv just seems to find ways to lose. Then again, letting Marshall get something like 12 or 14 receptions is unforgivable. But I do completely understand that fans need something to point the finger at and officiating should never decide the outcome. I felt bad for them. they came together in the second half and made a vialant effort.

Honestly, if this happened to Washington I would probably be more upset that my teams defense allowed the opponent to score twice on the same play after not allowing a single score the entire second half.

The call sucked, but the Chargers defense had two shots to stop them.

Actually, I think it was 18 catches. Franchise record. But, I get the point.

I would be going nuts right now... STILL!

But when Cutler threw that INT going in for TD... well... it was just not meant to be for the Chargers. The game should have been over. They couldnt close it out.

I've always believed Ed Hoculi was a die hard Steelers fan. Obviously he thinks the Chargers are a bigger threat to Pittsburgh's bid for home field advantage.

I sure hope he does not ref our Dec. 7th game against his Steeler team.

The players did determine the outcome. Not covering Brandon Marshall the entire game determined the outcome. Letting Cutler throw on you at will determined the outcome. Letting Denver run on you for 6 yards a carry determined the outcome. And as superpunk said, letting Royal win the game by running the same exact route twice determined the outcome.

Hard to say-Merriman is out, their LT/NT are hobbling, as is Thomlinson, etc.

Jamal Williams is overrated right now. He's a shell of his former self. Like so many of these obese NT's, the day comes when you can't get away with being 70 lbs. overweight.

I remember after the New England game last year, alot of CZ's complained how the refs were hosing us on alot of calls.

But still-there were a couple of drives that stalled due to boneheaded penalties(that they DID get right, BTW). Otherwise, the outcome could very well have been different.

Pt being that it's tough when you lose, which is why we end up pointing fingers at the refs rather than taking the blame for ourselves.

Not letting Brandon Marshall catch a year's worth of passes on you in one game could have determined the outcome.

I agree and I agree with some others who said had the Chargers defense done a better job it would not have come down to this last call. However that does not change the fact that with little time left in the game the Chargers were denied a turnover which would have ended the game. If I were a charger fan I would be upset with the play of the defense but I would have been just as upset with the refs for taking a win away from SD.

You give up 31 points in the first half, and you believe you deserve to win? You let a WR catch 18 receptions against you and break a franchise record and you think you deserve to win?

I get tired of teams that play horrible games filled with mental gaffes, blown assignments and stupid penalties pointing out the refs for a bad call. The refs made one bad call. The Chargers players and coaches had an entire bad game. Before they start expecting a level of perfection from the refs, they should at least start expecting a level of mediocrity from themselves.

If not for the two calls, the Chargers only give up 24. Would you still be taking your position if that were the case?

The Chargers were jobbed, pure and simple.

Well-considering how they rubbed it into the Broncs' faces last year(remember in that Mon night game @SD, Rivers and a couple of his teammates went out on the field and started taunted the Denver players), they probably had this coming.

What comes around, goes around...

The Chargers also gave up a TD and two point conversion to the same player running the same play.

No, the Chargers played enough to overcome their own mistakes and win, only to be done by the refs, not Denver.

Part of the game is overcoming your own mistakes, no matter how bad they are. They spotted Denver a huge lead and came back, and should be the winners.

If the players were the ones determining the outcome, then Cutler would have fumbled away a game the Broncos dominated.

It was a bad call I think we can all agree on that.

They still had two shots to end the game at that point though, so it's not like the outcome was entirely taken out of their hands.

Getting beat twice with the same play on consecutive possessions would be much more gut wrenching to me as a fan.
