Romo is simply greatness. He'll probably be on the next Madden Cover. But he is so good that not only will he break the curse, he will reverse it and NO copies of the game will work in your system. The weak CPU of an Xbox can simply not compute his level of skill. Your PS3 will die. Your Wii remote will throw ITSELF at the TV and sleep with your wife!

I am so happy I've completely lost it! :abuseme:

I'm also giddy over this win, but I'm not ready to crown his a**, as Denny Green would say. However, if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's probably a duck. In Romo's case, if it throws like a pro-bowler, and wins like a pro-bowler....

His arm can get stronger and zip zestier but his instincts seem top notch and hos slippery nature makes him a fit for defense. Could've been sacked about six or seven times tonight had he not been such a Houdini with his hips and shoulders.

I'll say this, although I never had the privilege to watch him while he played, dare I call Romo a little Staubachian.

I did get to see Staubach play and I'd say that Romo is definitely like a cross between Staubach and Favre.

Did anyone else hear Romo's post game press conference and hear him quote Bill Parcells? I don't remember what he said though, does anyone know?

I think he's already proven he's top 10, and I think by the end of this season, we may be talking about him in that upper echelon, with Manning and Brady. I would already take him over any of the 2nd tier QBs, like Bulger and Brees. Until he wins several super bowls, nobody will say he's better than Brady, and nobody is better than Peyton, but if he throws 30+ TDs and keeps up like he is, even the blind of haters will have to give him the respect he deserves.

I don't know how anybody can not get with Romo. He took the hard road getting to the NFL, he works harder than anybody else, and he just has fun playing.

What was that quote that Al Michaels mentioned that BP said?

"Don't think good enough is good enough." Or something like that.

That was awesome. As long as he thinks that way, Romo will continue to shine.

I think Romo will continue to improve. That is scary. He is a student of the game and very competitive. Plus, he will only become more familiar with his receivers. Funny thing is that the rest of the NFC East has blinders on as to how good he actually is.

Parcells has done that with all of his guys. Never settle with thinking that being good is good enough. He wants guys to continue to strive on being better. Phil Simms once talked about the same thing Tony was talking about with BP.

I wasnt the first guy on Romo's bandwagon. In fact I couldnt tell you one thing about the guy til he got that preseason start in Seattle Aug 2006.

I was blown away that first game. Might have as much to do with zero expectations on the kid as it did with his performance.

Either way I felt I was watching something very special.
Joe Montana came to mind. I saw in Romo, many of Montana skills.

Anyone want to watch a true QB clinic, go back and watch the 1981 championship game.
Even though he had three ints, he won that game on his own.
Never been more frustrated by an opposing QB. All the plays he made on the move. Rolling right, rolling left, moving within the pocket. It seemed like we had a good pass rush the whole game but he still killed us.
All those pin point accurate passes on the move, often with Cowboys drapped on him.

Any of this sound familar.
You think the Bears fans were feeling some of that last night.

You guys do realize that over the first 20-25 mins of the game,
the Bears had estblished a superiority in the trenches.
They were running the ball better than us and protecting their QB better than us. And I was concerned.

Romo wore them out. They got tired chasing him!
Romo pulled off one of the rarest of feats in football.

I wouldn't trade him for anyone. Cant wait for the Brady match up.

I'm not sure it's possible to play any better than he did tonight. Peyton Manning couldn't have made some of those plays he made.

:fact:

That's precisely why I wouldn't pick Peyton over Romo. Give me a scrambler with a decent arm over a perfect arm and no scrambling, otherwise Bledsoe would still be the man but he ain't...;)

After watch Tony outplay Peyton Manning last year against Indy, I started to wonder what Tony Romo's ceiling is. Considering his lack of actual game experience, I am now wondering if he could reach the Brady/ Manning level.

I think Parcell's said it best.... he told Romo before he left... "never let "good enough" be good enough"

With the 20/20 vision that Romo has in his eyes that are in back of his head and the ability to stay cool as all hell is breaking loose around him I would say the sky is the limit. :laugh2: People can talk about arm strenght, quickness of foot but the 6 inch space between the ears is what makes 1 QB great and another poor.

I can't answer that question either, but I can say that even when we had Aikman I've never felt as confident watching our team in a close game in the 4th quarter as I do with Romo leading the offense. Aikman didn't have to do it all with Emmitt and Irvin, but Romo is one of the few QBs in the league who could carry his team down the field on one of those "we ain't losing this game!" type drives.
