How good has Amari Cooper been?

Randy Moss in his prime couldn't get 1,300 yards in this offense.
Then I would ask why you waste a #1 pick on the kind of production you could get from a Dez or a Watkins. If 900 yards is the absolute highest ceiling for a WR then you should look to allocate your assets elsewhere.

I’m confused is this an anti dak or anti coach or anti owner or anti cooper thread?

Getting mixed messages on who sucks here

I agree, we blew it with Dez. Dez had the same effect on our offense, and teams had to respect his big playmaking ability especially in the red zone.

Cooper is better than what we would draft in the 1st round most years. The problem is our qb is terrible.

We’ve seen the primes of TO and Dez get squandered in the Jason Garrett led offense. Cooper figures to be no different. Why TO didn’t get the ball 8 times a game is beyond me. Same with Dez.

We can blame the QB all we want but you have to figure out a way to scheme these guys open to get the ball in their hands.

Outside of Jason Witten, Jason Garrett is a career killer.

There's 1 glaring stat omitted from all the stat sheets. CB ACLs torn.

Cooper gets a bonus for tearing 1 ACL (Ronald Darby) so far, and a double bonus for it being from a division rival. He's proven his worth.

Not sure if even that is worth a 1st round pick and a huge contract after 1 1/2 years but... oh well.

After 3 games he has 14 receptions on 23 targets for 169 yards and 1 touchdown.

Extrapolate that over the course of a 16 game season and we're looking at

75 receptions, 901 yards, and 5 touchdowns.

True he hasn't had an offseason here and came halfway into the season, but certainly isn't looking worth a first round draft pick.

His greatest accomplishment is likely moving this team from a 5 win team to an 8 win team based on the margins. These numbers are barely better than Dez's numbers last year and he wouldn't have cost us a 1st round pick.
How do the numbers look after 4 games?

And do you really think Dez could make that 90 yard catch?

What's his stats now extrapolated now?

Joys of making an argument over a small sample size.

You're leaving out a very important stat.

5-0.
