Tyron will put it together. Only concerned about health. Couple more games I think he will be just fine

We lose Tyron again and Ball struts his stuff, we are screwed. I hope they’re still getting Peters ready for swing duty.

Honestly, I think Steele is better. Tyron has to get back in the groove and moving to the right side is taking some getting used too.

For having not played all year, changing positions, being rusty haha...I think Tyron is playing decent.

Yeah these games are his opportunity to get re-acclimated to the game after having not played in damn near a year. I expected some rust.. but I also expect him to continue to get better every week and be pretty close to his normal self come playoff time.

Tyron got beat like a drum on the strip sack.
Disagree. Wasn’t great on the 9lay but Smith and the OL gave Dak 3 seconds in the pocket. They did their job. Just one of those plays that goes against you because of good coverage. Tyler was much worse on the sack on the next play

6 sacks. The OL needs work. However they were going against one of the best defenses.
6 sacks, plus massive pressure as well al game not sure its 77 though,, sweat was killing 73..73s young, has growing pains that DL is serious.,

Do you know how many pressures he’s given up on the season? I feel like T. Smith is worse at RT than Steele was.
nah steel wa sgreat run blocker, had soem struggles in pass block as a lot of our line has all season.

You are severely underrating how good Steele has been
Dude said he’s a good RT and nothing more. Lol am I missing something? Dude plays RT, if he’s good what more do you want lol. Acting like the dude plays multiple positions.

So and so player is good at his position but nothing more than that. The heck does that even mean lol?

Tyron is one of my favorite Cowboys of all time, but Reddick beat him like a drum yesterday.
The strip sack was 100% on Tyron, I'm not sure if Reddick's 2nd sack was on him or not, but Reddick was in the backfield all day, he was too much for Tyron to handle much of the day.
It's got to be hard to go in in a late season playoff type atmosphere and kill it, but he looks vulnerable (as he did late last season).

It's going to be a tough call on next year. I think we can clear almost 15 million by cutting him June 1. Is he worth that kind of money at this point? A lot will depend on Steele's recovery. I also thought it might be fairly likely we went OL again early in next years draft.

I like running mocks on pro football network, not that it has a lot of validity, but I ran a recent mock and got Skoronski in Round 1. Many say he is as good or even better than his former team mate Rashawn Slater. Imagine Skoronski at LT and Tyler Smith at LG, with Zack and Steele on the right side, and TB at C. We'd be set on the OL for years to come.

On day 2 I addressed our major defensive weakness, the middle, and took Ika, the 350 lb DT from Baylor, and then Jack Campbell, the ILB from Iowa in the 3rd. Ika is the dancing bear we've needed for years, and Campbell reminds me a little of Sean Lee, smart, hardworking and tough (hopefully without the injuries). I think we need a LB who can just step in and stuff the run. We will likely have 2 4th rounders, and I addressed a power back (should we move on from Zeke) and another solid TE (should Schultz be out of our price range). Ran this before Brown went down, so I think CB has risen on our needs list, but I have to say, Bland looks promising. He gets beat and has a lot to improve on, but dude just has a knack for the ball (like Diggs). I'm hopeful he grabs that #2 corner job by showing up the remainder of this year, though I could see CB also being on our radar early in the draft.

I'd be sad to see Tyron go (same for Zeke), but as Bob Sugar once said, "It ain't show friends, it's show business".
We can clear 25 mil by moving on from those 2, and while they are still productive, are they worth their contracts at this point? Perhaps we can restructure and extend them.

I think he has been fine ......... he missed the whole year and needs time to get his feet.

He will be good by the time the playoffs get here.

Means a solid player(ie doug free type) but nothing special like elite or dominate, Steele is a really good RUN blocker but suspect or lets say inconsistent pass blocking as most of our OL has been this year,

Looks like he played the entire game at RT.

Pass protection looked good today for the most part except for that 1 series where we ended up 3rd and 30 with back to back sacks. The first sack was on Tyron. He got beat and Dak had no chance.

The run game was OK today, but the Eagles do have a good run defense.

Did #77 look good?

I haven't noticed an improvement since he returned.

Probably still getting rid of some rust.
They just scored 40 on one of the best defenses in the league. The Cowboys now have an edge at right tackle with Lane Johnson going down on the Eagles.

Everyone can’t be dominant. I’ll take a good RT any day of the week.

Btw he’s an elite run blocker and average to solid in pass pro. I give him a B+ overall which again I’ll take any day of the week.

I think the protection has been ok especially if Dak steps up in the pocket instead of running out and directly into the rush.

Oh yeah I wasn’t saying I’d rather have Steele. Just replying to the post saying that he’s “just a good RT” as if that’s not enough. But yes Tyron has the higher ceiling.
