How has Tyron Smith looked?

In the Jaguars game, we platooned Tyron and Peters at RT.
I don't know the snap count or the sequence, but it seemed that Tyron started, and got 2 or 3 series, then Peters came in and took a series. That gave Tyron some rest and allowed him to remain fresh.
I wonder why we went away from that in the Eagles game.
Did Peters get any series resting Tyron?
In the offseason, most of us understood Tyron's limitations, namely, injuries.
I wanted us to sign Peters in the off season, and platoon him with Tyron (like we did in the Jags game, but at LT).
I thought platooning him like that would cut down on the chance of injury for Tyron, and I honnestly couldn't believe Peters was out there unsigned (and apparently just looking for a minimum contract). He played really well for the Bears last year. Of course, Tyron went down in preseaon and we ended up signing Peters anyways, so my plan would have been moot, but we would have had Peters in camp and in game shape from the start. If we can bring Peters back at a min. contract, I hope we do so. That dude has limitations for sure, but he is a cagey vet and is still as strong as a bull, and he can sub at different positions. A perfect "6th starter on the OL".
If we do keep Tyron next year, I hope we also keep Peters, and platoon them.

Honestly, I think Steele is better. Tyron has to get back in the groove and moving to the right side is taking some getting used too.

For having not played all year, changing positions, being rusty haha...I think Tyron is playing decent.

Tyron seems to always come back sluggish initially. Then factor in the move and I'm not at all surprised. I think he will improve as he gets his legs under him.

Steele was incredible this season. That was a tough break. I still think losing both AB and Lewis was the hardest hit. Thank gawd for Bland and the coaches having enough since to play the man. Although if they'd have done so a week earlier we'd probably beaten the Jags.

Even playing a brand new position after taking the last 3 months to heal up from a nasty hamstring injury, he still looks as good or better than 90% of the RTs in the league. The dude is a freak.

The OL has been looking very weak lately. Gone are the days that Dallas fields one of the best OL in football.

bland played the last 3 games and gave up a td and few big plays against the jags, yes he got some big takeaways as well but not yet a playmaker. he is rookie so a lot of upside.

Tyron is not just rusty at RT, he's out of training for it by a decade. He would have been rusty at LT, but not out of training. He would have ramped up much faster at LT, and it would have been safer for him coming back from injury to come back to the side where his muscle memory is still strong.

PFF had Tyron at 56.7.
