Mike is coming off back to back 12 win, playoff seasons. Garrett was here 10 years.

Big Mac ain't going nowhere anytime soon. Seems to be fitting in fine with the billionaire hillbillies and influencing positive change on the organization too. I'm about it.
Extremely positive change. There’s quality young competition at every level and it’s been a long time since we’ve seen anything close to it.

Imagine Big Mike being on the hot seat

unless he takes a Dump on the 50 yard line and cusses out Jerry like Jim Ross used to cuss out Eric Bischoff while he was on commentary he's here for atleast 2 more years

Now that most of the major roster moves are done for the upcoming season, what do you think McCarthy needs to produce to stay in Dallas?

These Head Coach Hot Seat articles come out every year, and I’m pretty sure big Mac will be on every single one

I see Chargers are on this list. Sort of ironic that Kellen Moore went to the Chargers, because I look at them as the AFC Cowboys. A lot of talent every year, but never put it together in the end. Moore could be gone as quick as Jason Garrett was with the Giants. There’s no Jerry Jones now who dictates which coordinators stay.

I honestly think Big Mac has to go to at least the NFC championship for Jerry to keep him around. Considering he’s never been in the Jerry family fraternity, Jerry’s age, recent team history in the Playoffs, and the perceived talent that McCarthy has inherited — fair or not —- I believe he has to produce big to stay.
I tend to agree, I think he need to get to the NFCCG. He is on year 4 of a 5 year deal. I dont think Jerry is going to give the Garrett and make him coach with one year left on his contract ( very rare with other franchise). I think giving him the reigns as a play caller is essentially having him coaching for his job

It should not be. Back to back 12 win seasons. Probably looking at 3rd straight playoff season. This team toiled for 10 years under that clown Garrett. Big Mike should be fine but have to wonder what was said to keep DQ. So my heart says no but my brain says yes.

Spot on, very good point. Typical boss ownership behavior before the termination. ‘I gave you a chance to prove it was my hand-picked offensive wiz kid who was screwing it up and your offense still fell flat in the Playoffs!” As I recall, that was Garrett’s excuse - he was never given back control over the offense.

4th year of a 5 year deal.

He's terrible at play clock management.

Team never seems ready to play in the playoffs. B coaches will almost always lose to A coaches in the playoffs.

He likes to hire his buddies for important coaching jobs. [Nolan, Philbin, Davis] Most of them are gone now. RB and DB coach still around, for example.

He's likely the reason we lost Moore to LA. At least Jerry finally fired Philbin.

Our DC could step in and be the HC today.

Need to see wins. Playoff Wins.
