How I See The Schedule

I went game by game through the schedule. After the analysis I have us going 16-0.

Am I the only person who would like to see rotating home/away divisional games between seasons. Would it really be so much to ask for?

And just to clear up what I want.......

Last year Dallas had to travel to Washington and New York for the 2nd meetings between the teams. Why not have Dallas travel to both of those places early in the season this year and have the Dallas home games between the teams be later in the season.

Not how it is though. You see the schedule and Dallas goes to both New York and Washington late in the year again.

In fact, Dallas has had to travel to Washington and New York late in the season 5 out of the last 6 years.

And Carolina too. Dallas plays them again for the 3rd straight year in Carolina. If you are going to schedule a team every year, switch the venue for god sakes. Throw Detroit on there as well. Even though its like 3-3 in the home/away department against Detriot, the 3 homes games were consecutive.

Im actually shocked that the league doesn't work to alternate it. Especially with teams from warmer climates traveling to colder climates. How is it fair that every year they play the 2nd time around, its always going to be in December.

I dunno, maybe Im the only person who would like a little balance.

I used to think this was how they did it. It just makes too much sense I guess.

To play Devil's advocate though... if the teams up north have an advantage in the cold over the warm-weather teams in Dec., the opposite is true if the first games are in Aug./early Sep. in the warm-weather cities.

most of the teams we are playing have already gotten better...we had better bring it!

That is what I came up with after deep analysis

If the Cowboys and Panthers finish at the same spot in their respective divisions this year, than the Cowboys will be hosting Carolina in 2008 and 2009.

And Carolina played in Dallas in 2003.

Hope that makes you feel a little better.

Didn't want to place our entire schedule on a post, but I thought I'd at least show two very important games that I'm looking forward to seeing. No predictions, no fancy emoticon ...I just want the Eagles to sweep the Cowboys ...again in 2007!

Eagles Home Record Vs. Cowboys: 24-21
Last Home Meeting:
Oct. 8, 2006 - Eagles, 38-24

Game Overview: Lito Sheppard's interception and return for a touchdown capped a spectacular victory over Dallas and quarterback Drew Bledsoe. The Eagles simply made more big plays in a game full of them.

Does this game really need an introduction? Certainly, the venom and the buildup won't be quite as spectacular as it was for Terrell Owens' return to Philadelphia last year, but the prime-time attraction is hard to overlook here.
Dallas has an outstanding offensive setup, bolstered by right guard Leonard Davis, and quarterback Tony Romo has a lot of weapons at his disposal. The defense has major question marks, and the Eagles are going to look to exploit some matchups they feel are favorable. Monday night. Dallas in town. Is there anything else that needs to be said?

Eagles Record At Dallas: 17-32
Last Meeting: Dec. 25, 2006 - Eagles, 23-7

Game Overview: One of the best overall performances of the year resulted in a sweet Christmas win; the Eagles defense allowed just 201 total net yards.

Another big late-season game in Dallas. Dallas has an excellent team and is probably the best threat to challenge the Eagles in the NFC East. The Cowboys signed Davis and safety Ken Hamlin and should be ready to roll under new head coach Wade Phillips.
The questions for Dallas: How does quarterback Tony Romo fare in his second season as the starter? Is the explosive mix of personalities going to work? Can a defense that was absolutely awful late last year turn things around with Phillips and the return of linebacker/defensive end Greg Ellis?

Alright maybe just one small emoticon ...

I'm alos looking forward to the games against the Eagles this year. In my opinion, I felt the Cowboys were the more talented team but were outplayed in both contests last year.

Add in the fact that the Eagles rallied late while the Cowboys struggled and the 'Birds managed to win the division, it leaves a bitter taste.

I'm hoping that the Cowboys can even the score.

I can't blame you for being insulting and sensitive. But at least be creative?!
Everyone knows that it's not my style to throw personal attacks back and forth at posters from any NFL team fan's affiliation, but think about your question ...

If you were by yourself when you wrote "What's that smell?" ...

Save your humiliation for the regular season -
sthink about it:rolleyes:

One good thing about our schedule is we have two breaks with good spacing. The bye week and the ten day after the GB game. Bad thing is we have 3 games in 11 days

But no travel days for about a month, that's the good news for that stretch.

so we start the season with a divisional game and then dont play another until week 9....

needless to say, he second half of our schedule will definitely decide our postseason positioning
