Martin gets praise because, Jones coveted manziel and he was there for the pick. If Jones had played it closer to the vest Martin would have been lauded as a solid pick. I think most media outlets were hoping that martin would not be as good as he was so that they can run headlines like this, "Picked Martin but should have Picked Manziel."

Hopefully related I saw somewhere that Garrett had a couple of our lineman play other positions in the Pro Bowl , at least for a series or two. Good test ground for him and them.

The respect that Fredrick receives is that the offensive line is credited with doing a complete 180 the moment he walked in the door.

His ability to get the line working as a cohesive unit from day one is his best quality, and he has many. The communication within the unit completely changed the first day he took a snap.
